MIAMI BEACH from www.cbslocal.com – – CBS4 was first to show you the never before seen video of Narcy Novack describing for detectives how she discovered her husband Ben’s dead body.

“I walked in and I tripped on something and I realized he was on the floor, Narcy said.”

Ben Novack Jr. was the son of Miami Beach royalty. His father owned the famed Fountainbleau Hotel. His mother, a one-time model. Ben grew up surrounded by Presidents and Kings, collected Batman memorabilia, and married an Ecuadorian-born, Hialeah stripper named Narcisa “Narcy” Veliz. By all accounts, their 28-year marriage was a strange and violent affair.

“He used handcuffs, Narcy told detectives in the interrogation video.

“Ok,” responded one detective.

“And he liked rough stuff,” Narcy added.

In fact, Novack’s murder was rough. In July of 2009, he was found in room 453 of the Hilton Hotel in Rye Brook, New York… hand and legs bound with duct tape, the 53-year old was bludgeoned to death with dumbbells… his eyes stabbed with a knife.

Three years later, his wife Narcy would be sentenced to life in prison for arranging his murder. Saturday night on 48 HOURS… Detective Alison Carpentier worked on the Novack investigation, and will, for the very first time, talk about what she thinks was Narcy’s motive.

“I think she… she knew she was gonna be replaced,” she told CBS’s Troy Roberts.

Detective Carpentier had discovered that Ben, or Benji as some called him, had a mistress. She is also speaking for the first time with 48 HOURS.

“He was sort of looking for a bad girl. But I was too mad of a girl for him.”

Rebecca Bliss, formerly known as “Mona Love” [pictured] was all over the Internet.

“She admits being a prostitute, pornographic movies,” said Carpentier.

What began as a sexual tryst, says Rebecca, grew into a serious, ongoing relationship of almost two years.

“He used to make me laugh every day, ya know… talking to him about personal things,” Bliss told Roberts.

Benji moved her from Miami, where she was dancing in a strip club, to a condo in Ft. Lauderdale.

“He cared about me a lot, you know, he would tell me he loved me everyday,” Bliss claimed.

With Rebecca in the wings, was Benji about to leave Narcy?

Rebecca thought so. “She said if she couldn’t have him no one will.”
