Man, this Kurt Brackob guy keeps popping up everywhere. He was on a panel at XBIZ 360 last year entitled “Sex and Politics” that was moderated by Free Speech Coalition director Diane Duke. That means as far back as a year ago he was affiliated with FSC. Did I mention he’s a convicted pedophile?
Really guys? Is this the kind of image we want to present to the public? We already have all the family groups and religious types out there trying to link the legitimate adult industry to child porn, and here we give them an example of our leaders associating with sex criminals. I don’t know all the details, but this guy was sent to jail for having sex with an underage girl, possibly two girls, one as young as ten years old.
Look, this guy may be really smart and have some ideas or whatever and he’s served his time. I think what he did was pretty shitty, but that’s not really the point.
The business has always been under attack from all angles. From women’s groups to religious groups, conservative senators, you name it. We used to at least TRY to present an image that was different than what they portrayed us as. This just gives all those right-wing moral do gooders ammo to use against us.
I wish these guys would use better judgement with whom they choose to align themselves with. I’ve been in this business for most of my life and for the most part it’s been a good experience that I’ve been proud to be a part of. This is something that makes me ashamed to be associated with it. I don’t like this feeling.
Listen, I don’t know this guy, I don’t know if he got a raw deal or was set up, or if he really is a sick guy that likes underage girls. The fact that he has a child sex conviction on his record is more than enough reason for the industry not to want to be associated with him. Morality issues aside, it’s just a bad PR move.
My advice would be to steer clear of this bozo. Nothing good can came from it. But hey, what do I know? I’ve only been doing this for 31 years.
