SALT LAKE CITY & BUDAPEST, Hungary –CirTran Corporation (OTCBB: CIRC) said today that it has “significantly expanded” distribution of the Playboy energy drinks, which it manufactures, markets and distributes, into 10 additional Eastern European countries.
Iehab J. Hawatmeh, CirTran’s founder, president and CEO, said the agreement with PlayBev CEE Kft. (www.playboyenergy.hu) gives the Budapest-based company exclusive distribution rights for Playboy Energy Drink and Playboy Energy Drink Light in Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Turkey.
The agreement, he said, also gives PlayBev CEE the right to manufacture the Playboy products in the region, “taking budget from shipping and putting it into marketing.” A distribution agreement for the local market in Hungary was signed with SIO-ECKES, one of the largest beverage distribution companies in Hungary, he said.
In June, CirTran announced what Mr. Hawatmeh called “the opening of the door to Eastern Europe” with a distribution agreement in Albania. “Now, CirTran has significantly expanded its reach into Europe,” he said. “And, we have continued to make our mark in the worldwide market for energy drinks with our new world-class Playboy-branded product.”
“The Playboy name is ‘magic’ in Eastern Europe,” said Modroczky Tamas, managing director of PlayBev CEE. “We are working closely with Iehab Hawatmeh and Play Beverages’ marketing experts in the U.S. and Europe to build on the success of this new Playboy-branded product line in our burgeoning marketplace.”
