Mr. Marcus, the male performer at the center of the syphilis controversy, left a phone message earlier today with Mike South.

“I just want to tell you that what I did wasn’t right,” says Marcus.

“My conscience is heavy. I’m way better than this.”

Marcus said he’s been reading a lot about what’s been happening and the comments people have been making.

“It cuts,” he says.

“I understand where they’re coming from because they’re angry. I just want to say I’m sorry. It’s unprofessional. It’s inconsiderate and I wasn’t thinking correctly. I should have done things differently.

“I’m a big fan of this business,” he goes on to say. I’d always been grateful that I was a part of it. I should have shown it more respect and I apologize.”
