London- COPS were quizzing supermodel Naomi Campbell over an alleged assault yesterday – her NINTH rap in eight years.
She returned to a central London police station this morning but has been rebailed until December.
The volatile model has a long list of previous form for flying into a rage and attacking her aides.
The latest claim from her drugs counsellor triggered Naomi’s arrest at her home in central London yesterday. The unnamed counsellor walked into a police station with scratches all over her face which she insisted were caused by Naomi, 36. A source said: “The marks were so red you could tell the attack had only recently happened.”
Cops immediately swooped on Naomi’s home and took her in for questioning on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm.
Police said in a statement: “A woman attended a London police station and alleged an assault on her at an address in Westminster.
“Officers attended the address and a woman aged 36 years was arrested at approximately 1.20pm.
“She was taken to a central London police station. Last night she was bailed and will attend a station on a date in October.”
She was whisked out of the police station in the early hours in a black 4×4. Naomi has in the past sought help for anger management. But last night she pleaded innocence over the new incident.
Her spokesman said: “We believe there has been a misunderstanding. Once police have investigated we are sure this will be resolved satisfactorily.”
The latest allegation is the third assault claim brought against the model this year.
In July assistant Amanda Brack, 20, sued her for false imprisonment and assault. She said her job had been a “fairytale gone wrong” after Naomi was said to have slammed a handheld computer in her face, spat at her and thrown her passport in a pool.
In March, she was charged with assault in New York after housekeeper Ana Scolvino, 42, claimed she was hit on the head with a phone. Naomi denies assault, claiming Ana “retaliated” after being fired.
