PARIS — Digital Playground’s “Pirates II: Stagnetti’s Revenge” and Private’s “Billionaire” were big winners last night at the Hot d’Or awards.
The awards program, sponsored by Hot Video magazine, was held at Paris’ Wagram concert hall in front of a black-tie audience of about 1,000 after a eight-year absence. The awards were held annually from 1992-2001 and originally spun off as an unofficial byproduct of the Cannes film festival.
“Pirates II” received five awards for Best American Film, Best French Actress (Katsuni), Best American Actress (Jess Jane), Best American Actor (Evan Stone) and Best American Scene.
Director Allesandro Del Mar’s “Billionaire” received Best European Film, Best European Scene, Best Actress (Tarra White) and Best European Performance (Tarra White).
Adam & Eve contract star Kayden Kross was named Best American Starlet. Other winners included Dorcel Productions, Jesse Jane and Choky Ice.
The Hot d’Or was hosted by Brigitte Lahaie, a French adult performer from the 1970s, with Hot Video readers voting for the winners. Hot Video said it received more than 25,000 votes.
