from www.theindychannel.com – INDIANAPOLIS – Three people have been arrested after a prostitution sting where police said online ads promised sex with a ‘porn star’ and then apparently delivered on that promise.

The arrests were made early Wednesday morning just north of the Fashion Mall, off Keystone at the Crossing in northeast Indianapolis.

Undercover vice squad officers said they responded to an Internet advertisement, offering an appointment with a porn star.

Police said they arranged what was supposed to be a sex act for money, and then discovered the main suspected prostitute really had appeared in adult movies in the past.

One officer said the woman admitted her porn career as she was being arrested, but he said it was unclear what name she used in front of the camera.

She was booked into the Marion County Jail under her legal name, Dafayea D. Ingram, 32, of Chatsworth, California.

Ingram is being charged with one misdemeanor count of prostitution, but she was not the only person arrested.

Police said her pimp was Watkins J. Malik, 24, of Alphretta, Georgia.

Officers said he led them on a brief foot chase near the Hyatt Place hotel, where the meeting had been arranged.

He was booked on felony charges of promotion of prostitution, resisting arrest and misdemeanor counts of battery and resisting.

The police report on the sting also listed an Indianapolis woman’s arrest.

Lacey M. Strand, 21, of River Avenue, was charged with felony promotion of prostitution and several other drug charges.

Police said they confiscated marijuana, hydrocodone pain pills and $1,705 in cash from the raid.

IMPD declined to release their booking photos, saying mug shots could only be released after prosecutors formally accepted the criminal charges against the trio.

Earlier this year, the Call 6 Investigators were first to report on another undercover vice squad sting, also inside the Fashion Mall complex.

In that raid, police arrested two women on charges of running a $600 per hour Russian call girl operation , which also advertised discreet encounters on the Internet.

Both of those women pleaded not guilty and are awaiting trial.
