from www.nerdreactor.com – Tasha Reign is an adult film actress who has done a lot of parody films. We had the chance to nerd it up and chat with her on her role as the Black Canary in the upcoming adult film, The XXX Adventures of Hawkman and Hawkgirl.

John “Spartan” Nguyen: So, you have a new, upcoming project, The XXX Adventures of Hawkman and Hawkgirl.

Tasha: Oh, yeah. I’m so excited about that!

Q: So what character are you playing?

Tasha: I’m playing Black Canary, and she is a villain. She’s a very naughty girl, which is exactly what I’m like, so it’s kind of a perfect match. I look at her animation and I honestly do look a lot like her, so it was pretty perfect casting for that role. In the sequel, I believe she turns to good, so that could be a more cute role to play, instead of being, you know, mean.

Q: Did you get a chance to research her character in the comic books?

Tasha: I did. I more looked over it before I shot the movie, which was months ago. So, I felt like I got a pretty good back story about her, and I just wanted to make sure that I looked like the character, since adult films have lots to do with visual media. You want to watch the characters in action, you want to make sure you look like the comic character, so that the guys watching it, who are fans of the comics, want to actually watch you.

I think that’s probably the most important part about parodies. I actually do that many parodies. I’ve done a handful. I personally don’t do parodies on my site, or anything like that, but when I make DVDs, it’s my choice, but I have no problem playing a character in a parody. If it’s all fun and humorous and silly, I’m in.

Q: And what’s your favorite thing about Black Canary?

Tasha: I think my favorite thing about Black Canary is her black costume, her leather outfit that hugs her skin and shows all of her good parts. Her make up, her hair and just the aesthetics of it are all my favorite parts of her. And I like that she is a strong character and she’s hot and all the boys like her.

Q: Does doing these parodies make you wanna do more in the future?

Tasha: Yeah, I mean if I’m going to do parodies, I would like them to be comic parodies because I feel like there’s a lot of crossover between adult entertainment fans and comic fans. I feel like Comic-Con, for instance, is one of the biggest conventions in the world, and I think those guys also love porn, so it’s kind of perfect. It’s not like you’re just doing some parody of some mainstream television show that I don’t care about. Comics are really important to a lot of people, and they follow those stories since they were children, so they have this bond with these characters. I think that, if I was going to do any parody, they would be comic parodies.

Q: Geeks love porn too.

Tasha: (laughter) They do! And I love geeks, so it’s perfect, because I think I’m one of them.

Q: What are your favorite geeky things to do?

Tasha: My favorite geeky things to do? Okay, well, I have a lot of them, but one of them is, I troll StumbleUpon.com all the time. I don’t know if you’ve been to that website but I think it’s pretty nerdy – depending on your interests. I spend a lot of time on my computer. I like to do a lot of internet research, read, chill. I’m more of a homebody actually.

Oh! I dance around in my apartment all the time in my underwear, to old music that I listened to in middle school and high school. That’s pretty sexy and geeky, right?

Q: It sure is.

Tasha: That’s pretty dorky. I’ll listen to Spice Girls and Hoku and all the other girl bands from when I was 13 years old. Kinda scary.

Q:Ooh! A Spice Girls parody. Maybe that could be something in the future.

Tasha: (laughter) Oh, I would love to. I actually just saw that’s been shot. It’s not like it can’t be shot again but it has been cast and shot. Honestly, Baby Spice is perfectly cast, and so were all the Spice Girls. I feel like maybe I embody the Spice as a whole, but not necessarily an individual girl.

Q: If you had to choose one Spice Girl, who would you choose?

Tasha: Um, I would definitely choose Ginger Spice because she’s the sluttiest one, and I feel like I closely relate to her. And she’s all about girl power and she’s a hot bitch.

Q: Have you been recognized outside of events, like in public? Have people gone, “Hey, that’s Tasha!”?

Tasha: Yeah, it’s actually super fun when people say, “Oh hey, I’m a fan of your work. I like your movies.” or “I saw you in this one movie” and obviously you have to keep it PG when you’re out in public, and there’s all sorts of people there. But I’m always just really taken aback when someone doesn’t just stare, and they actually say, “Hey, I am familiar with you.”

Sometimes, if you’re an adult, or you’re a hardcore fan, you might know exactly who somebody is when you see them, but sometimes, guys will just stare and they know that they know you. But they don’t know exactly how, and so they get embarrassed or shy because it means I know what they know, or I know what they’re doing at night time. Or in the day time. I know what’s going on.

Tasha: And so, I think for them, it’s a different feeling than, “Oh, I watched somebody in a movie in a theater. So I definitely give them props for coming out and being like, “Whatever, I like your work. You’re so cool.” It makes me feel like what I’m doing is important to somebody, or that somebody appreciates it.

And I think that that is important in any entertainment field, I don’t care what you do. It’s always a little bit trickier, so I think it’s badass when somebody says something.

Recently, something, a little thing happened in the Starbucks I go to. It was so sweet. All the guys there, I know they know what I do, because they’ve said stuff to me before, and they’re all super nice, nothing creepy.

But there’s this guy in line and he was in front of me, so he got me my breakfast and my drink. I had a feeling he was a fan, because afterwards, he was like, “Oh my God, I love you,” and said all this sweet stuff, I was like, “Oh, that’s so cool when somebody goes out of their way to be nice to performer like that.” It was really nice.

Q: That’s awesome. What if you meet a fan and they have their family around, and they recognize you.

Tasha: I think that there’s a lot of time and place for things. I don’t expect somebody to be with their children and say anything that has anything to do with adult entertainment. But you don’t have to say anything like that.

It depends on the situation. Like if you have a girlfriend or a wife and she’s not comfortable with the fact you watch porn – which is probably most girls – then you probably shouldn’t get yourself into trouble. That’s not really advice I’d give you, but if you’re with your significant other and they watch it and don’t care that you do, since it’s just entertainment, then I think there’s nothing wrong with saying, “Hey, I like your work. I’m a fan.” or “Hey, thanks for doing what you do.” Something casual that doesn’t have to point to the fact that it’s porn.”

Q: So I haven’t gotten a chance to see any of your stuff. Shame on me.

Tasha: I’d give you a good rate.

Q: But if I were to get into your stuff, what would you recommend.

Tasha: What would I recommend? Gosh, there’s so much that, I feel, I’m proud of. My site, TashaReign.com, is something that I put everything into. I put all my fantasies, all of my ideas and my work and everything into that site. So if you go there, you can find so many great movies, tutorials, everything.

I said I recently started making my own DVDs – I just came out with a movie which is available at Adult DVD Empire, and basically every distributor will have it. It’s called Girly Girls Like It Rough and I think that is pretty much one of my favorites since I cast the girls in it and my best friend’s in it. Spencer Scott and Ricki Six, the new hot porn star, and me, and lots of different fantasies that I’m so excited I got to let out.

Q:So what’s your favorite fantasy that you were able to do for your past projects?

Tasha: My favorite fantasy that I was able to do. Gosh, there’s been so many. The last one I really, really enjoyed personally, and I got to do it, was a cheerleader scene. And it was with one of my favorite performers. His name is Ramon. I was dressed like a full-blown Dallas Cowboys cheerleader.

The blue and the white and pigtails and everything. Ramon played my mom’s boyfriend, and I wanted him to help me stretch out, and (laughter), he came down and my apparently my mom wasn’t home. Basically we got down and dirty with it, and it was just a really hot scene. He’s a great lay, he fucks hard and came all over my face, so I thought it was fabulous.

Q: Cheerleader and mom’s boyfriend. Every person’s fantasy.

Tasha: Honest! Every person’s crazy fantasy, right? I mean, (clicks tongue)

(laughter)

Tasha: What can I say?

Q: How did you decide you wanted to get into the industry?

Tasha: I always felt like that is a form of media that really got my attention for some reason. I was attracted, and still am attracted to other genres, but I just feel very in sync with porn. With adult entertainment, with being naked in front of a camera, making movies and shooting pictures that I’m comfortable with.

It’s just something that I’ve always been attracted to, since I was in high school. I remember watching my first porn and being completely fascinated. These girls are the most confident, they had the most unbridled sexuality that I had ever seen I think that was the gateway to it. I thought, Playboy, wow. Those girls are fabulous. I want to be just like them. And so when I was 19, I started taking these pole dancing classes at something called S-Factor Aerobics. My mom actually got me the package to do that. And then it’s featured on the Oprah Winfrey show, keep it PG or whatever, it’s stripping but it’s not the real deal, but it’s fun and aerobic and I learned tricks.

When I was done with that, I went down to a local strip club and I was like, “This is a great way to make money.” I was going to school at Santa Monica college at the time, where I got my AA degree, and I was like, “Oh my God, why wouldn’t I just take up a couple grand a night, or however much, just to dance at a club where I’m very comfortable?” So I walked in there in the daytime, and the guy was like, “Well you’ve never danced before, so you need to audition.

So I stripped down, he said, “Okay, you’re good. But you can’t get a night job here because there’s a lot of competition and the girls know what they’re doing while you’ve never danced.” I worked the day shift, but I was like, “I’m not going to dance the day shift, there’s nobody in here.” They gave me a nighttime job, I started dancing there, and one thing led to another. I met somebody that got me invited to the Playboy mansion and then I submitted photos and doing basic modeling.

I then tested for Playmate. I just made the summer edition – all of these different editions and I never felt like it was going in the direction that I wanted. I realized that if I ever wanted to build a name for myself, then I should do hardcore movies. So I Googled Tori Black in Austin, Texas, and all the big name girls, and all of them from LA Direct Models, which is the agency I’ve been with since I started. I went in there and I was like, “Make me a porn star!” And they did.

Q: Sweet!

Tasha: I love LA Direct Models, I feel like they have really created something special for me, because everything that I’m interested in, they pursue and I’m just really fortunate that I found them. You know, you could start off on the wrong foot. There are all different types of agencies, and some of them aren’t even licensed and bonded. I feel like if I was a new girl, I’d love somebody to guide me in the right direction, so if any girls ever want to know how to get into porn in the right way, then I’ll tell them how, ’cause I think I did it right.
