Radio Station Gives Phillies World Series Ticket “Whore,” Tickkets

from www.myfoxphilly.com – Susan Finkelstein gets free World Series tickets from a radio station, just days after the Philadelphia woman is charged with offering sex for tickets.

Radio DJ Chio from Wired 96.5 confirmed to MyFoxPhilly that his station gave two tickets to Finkelstein and her husband for Game 3 in Philadelphia.

Chio also said that Finkelstein’s lawyer asserted that she is not guilty of prostitution and her arrest is the result of a misunderstanding with Bensalem, Pa., police.

Finkelstein tells Fox 29 she’s the biggest Phillies’ fan around with her favorite player being Jamie Moyer. She says she’d do almost anything for tickets to the World Series except offer sex in exchange for seats.

“The anger has really started to also grow along with a sense of absurdity of how widespread this has become,” says Finkelstein.

She and her husband, John, have been married for 12 years and the Phils have been a constant.

“I’ve seen or listened to part or all of every game this season so it’s just a great source of pleasure for me and my husband,” says Finkelstein.

She says she’s looking forward to putting this experience behind her and moving on to another, reported Fox 29’s Kerry Barrett.

“The feeling of being at the World Series and screaming at the top of your lungs like it was pure joy and still not being able to hear yourself. How do you get to experience that with four or 5,000 people all screaming the same thing and loving eachother and hugging eachother. It’s like a religious experience,” believes Finkelstein.

Finklestein’s lawyer said on Tuesday night the Philadelphia woman still wanted World Series tickets for the Phillies, despite claims by police she offered sex for seats .

Finklestein was arrested by Bensalem police after they alleged she offered to perform graphic sex acts for Phillies tickets.

Finkelstein’s story caused an Internet sensation on Tuesday when her mugshot and arrest hit local and national Web sites.

The New York Daily News, which has bashed the Phillies all week, had a field day with the Finkelstein story.

Police in Bucks County said she faces prostitution charges after posting an online ad seeking World Series tickets.

Bensalem Township police said they made contact with Finkelstein after viewing her add on Craigslist.com. She then allegedly solicited an undercover police officer to perform various sex acts in exchange for the tickets.

According to police, her online ad read: “DESPERATE BLONDE NEEDS WS TIX (Philadelphia) Diehard Phillies fan–gorgeous tall buxom blonde– in desperate need of two World Series Tickets. Price negotiable— I’m the creative type! Maybe we can help each other!”

“Her and her husband were looking for a chance to go to the World Series and she wound up in handcuffs,” says Finkelstein’s attorney Bill Brennan.

Brennan says the wording on his client’s online ad does not depict her as a woman looking for a sexual encounter. He says she’s misunderstood.

“You have a die-hard Phillies fan that uses a colloquial phrase and says ‘I’ll do anything for tickets!’ and she’s arrested. It’s beyond the pale,” believes Brennan. “For the life of me, can’t figure out how there’s criminal activity here.”

On Finkelstein’s Facebook page, she says she dreams of being “a Phillies groupie” and her attorney says her dream of going to the World Series is still alive, reported Fox 29’s Sean Tobin.

Finkelstein has a preliminary court hearing scheduled for December 3.
