The LA Weekly wrote that Aurora Snow may have made herself a “pariah” in the adult industry for having spoken her mind about Proposition B. Snow said she would vote “Yes” on the Measure which would make condoms mandatory on porn shoots.

“…she not only bravely endorsed a reviled mandatory-condom initiative that will be on the L.A. county ballot next month… she outed infrequent but nonetheless troubling situations in which she says she felt pressured to work when partners didn’t have requisite clean-STD-test papers,” The Weekly explained.

Judging from comments on her show Friday night, Rebecca Bardoux didn’t sound like she agreed with what Snow had to say.

Bardoux who read the blog www.adultfyi.com/read.php?ID=56212 said she had a few comments of her own to make.

Bardoux’s sidekick NY Joe LaBarbera said Snow has been one of his favorite performers and he’s asked her to come on the show to discuss her position.

He also pointed out Snow’s math about how a three guy-one girl scene instead of taking two hours would probably take four to shoot with condoms, what with all the breakage. If you’ve ever been on a condom shoot, which I’ve been, that math is pretty reasonable though Bardoux took issue with Snow’s ciphering.

“I don’t think so,” says Bardoux.

“If she’s doing three guys and one guy’s condom breaks, they can keep filming; he goes and changes his condom on the side and comes back in. There’s no reason there.”

Bardoux said what upsets her the most is that Snow wrote about how she wasn’t comfortable having sex without a condom.

“And she had to worry every month when she went to get her test and was worried that she’d have to go and tell her significant other that she came back positive for ‘this.’

“To me that’s someone who’s living in fear. Can you imagine going to get your test and oh my gosh I hope I’m not positive? She’s an adult. She made a decision to come into this business. She knew what the situation was with the condoms before she came in.

“She made the choice and if she was that concerned with contracting HIV or any other STD then she should have walked away from the industry. That’s my belief on that.”

It was also pointed out that Snow broke into the business about 2001 and that she was working in the business to pay for college tuition.

“Ed Powers got her first sex scene; I think it was a blowjob scene if I’m not mistaken,” said LaBarbera.

“I have seen so many DVDs of Aurora and I would say 99.9% of the DVDs she has put out is non-condom. No condom.”

Bardoux wondered that if Snow was doing porn to put herself through college, wouldn’t she have been better served by going into stripping.

“Porn isn’t something you just go do for awhile while you’re going through school. You have to make a strong commitment to that.”

LaBarbera brought up the fact that Snow originally said she’d do porn for a year or two.

“But it turned into a profession…she’s a Hall of Fame Member, she’s done it all; she’s done over 600 scenes. This has turned into an empire for her, a money maker. I guess she’s not the only one this has happened to.”

Bardoux continued to say that while she doesn’t know Snow personally, she respects her for being in the business, doing what she did and taking her position.

“But to me it seems like she was unhappy doing porn and living in fear. I didn’t like that.”

Bardoux announced that she’s been approached by James Lee to debate Michael Weinstein on a local news channel.

“I’d love to debate him,” said Bardoux.

“He [Lee] said Weinstein would be appearing with a performer in the industry. I really hope it’s not her, that she’s not going to go that far.”

LaBarbera ventured to say that Snow probably hasn’t done a sex scene in close to two years.

“She’s not even living in Los Angeles.”

LaBarbera announced that Snow would be in California next week for a feature dancing gig.

“I would love to pick Aurora’s brain; I’ve known her for quite some time. But when I saw this blog I went are you fucking kidding me? A girl that’s done over 600 scenes without a condom is saying we need condoms?”
