Thoughts Over the Morning’s Coffee: Trinity St. Clair in the Middle of a Porn Star Pile of S**t Involving Escorting????

Giving credit where credit is due, Monica Foster, who, I got to tell ya is getting pretty good at this, did a story on www.pornnewstoday.com which Variety and The Hollywood Reporter are picking up on.

It involves former Disney exec Richard Nanula who made a sex tape with Wicked contract girl Samantha Saint. www.adultfyi.com/read.php?ID=58966

Here is the update on that as it’s being reported by www.variety.com- Richard Nanula has taken a leave of absence from Colony Capital, a spokesperson for the company confirmed.

Nanula’s unexpected departure comes nearly two weeks after photos surfaced on TheDirty.com of a man the site identified as Nanula having sex with a “pornstar.” Two knowledgable individuals said the photos may have contributed to Nanula’s exit. The photos have since been removed from TheDirty.com but still remain on www.PornNewsToday.com.

One of those individuals also said that the Qatar Investment Authority – the sovereign wealth fund which helped back Colony’s acquisition of Miramax – has been frustrated that Miramax has not grown into more of an operating company.

Reps for Colony did not know when the leave of absence took effect, but a knowledgable individual told Variety that Nanula ankled the company last week.

“Richard Nanula has taken a leave of absence from Colony and Miramax for personal reasons” – Lisa Baker, a publicist with Owen Blicksilver PR, which reps Colony.

Baker would not comment on the photos or when Nanula had ankled the company, or planned to return.

The former Disney CFO joined Colony in 2008, and his ties to the Mouse House helped him lead Colony’s acquisition of Miramax two years later. Nanula has largely spearheaded Miramax since the departure of its former CEO Mike Lang in March of 2012.

Disney sold Miramax to the Colony/Miramax/QIA investment group for $663 million in 2010. The new owners quickly installed former News Corp. exec Mike Lang as CEO and began inking licensing deals that exploited Miramax’s some 700 titles. But the company largely shied away from production, leading many to wonder just how long Miramax’s management could continue to milk its library without adding new content.

But Miramax completed a major refinancing in 2011 that valued the company at more than $800 million. Nanula and the rest of Colony’s management hailed the transaction as a sign that Miramax did not not need to rush into original content production.

In March, Miramax made its first foray into production by teaming with GK Films and Martin Scorsese to create a TV series based on Scorsese’s 2002 film “Gangs of New York.”

Prior to joining Colony, Nanula served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Amgen, Inc. . From 1986 to 1998, Nanula held a number of senior executive positions at the Walt Disney Company before becoming senior exec vice president and chief financial officer.

Nanula’s apparent involvement in a sex scandal comes three months after Scott Sassa was hastily forced to resign as president of entertainment for Hearst Corp. after top executives were alerted to a sexting incident involving a stripper.

Nanula’s departure may be coincidental to revelations of the sex tape, but Foster alleges that Trinity St. Clair is knee deep in this escapade.

Foster on www.pornnewstoday.com writes that she’s been contacted by a reporter from the LA Times who now wants to open up the investigation. Also, an attorney from a Beverly Hills law firm has contacted her inquiring what it would take to remove her post about Nanula.

“The attorney eluded to the man in the photographs not being Richard Nanula, and my response was that if that is honestly the case, Nanula in my opinion should send out a press release reflecting such and/or post a video on youtube (or something of the like) in which he clears his name,” writes Foster.

Foster speculates on the ifs or if nots about it actually being Nanula in the tape… “unless this sexual encounter was in actuality an instance of illegal prostitution being video and photographically recorded in effort to ‘legalize’ the act by it technically falling under the umbrella of being a ‘private pornographic shoot’ or ‘amateur sextape'” she writes.

Remember the bust in Arizona just recently which police are saying was prostitution masked as a porn shoot? www.adultfyi.com/read.php?ID=59038

You’ll notice my headline: Police: Porn Company Served as a Front for Prostitution; You’ll Be Reading those Headlines Soon in LA

I was alluding to the Nanula story. As it’s unfolding, Ms. Foster’s of the belief that porn performer Trinity St. Clair along with her “pimp” Jack Spade are allegedly setting up these shoots and is asking if Wicked is aware that Samantha Saint is participating in such escapades.

“Is Joy King of Wicked Pictures somehow involved in the leaking of these photos of who appears to be Richard Nanula in effort to gain free publicity for Samantha Saint via a media scandal?” Foster asks.

Foster then reveals several emails that supposedly tie St. Clair and Spade into this sordid mess. St. Clair, allegedly, was paid $6K to set up the shoot in Nanula’s house in Malibu. The way the story is told, Nanula wanted to book Saint for an escort encounter. She wouldn’t agree to that, so the novel approach was to set up a “porn shoot” with no film in the camera.

What I also find intriguing are allegations that St. Clair runs a little curbside enterprise at Sardos. Does this in any way connect to Tessa Lane’s admissions to www.vice.com that she consorts [putting it mildly] with civilians. www.adultfyi.com/read.php?ID=58531

Way to go, Monica. Good story.
