Los Angeles, CA – Sasha Grey has landed an 8 page pictorial and feature in the November issue of GQ Magazine, Germany.
“Most people in our society will never accept that pornography is an art form“, Sasha Grey tells the German edition of GQ magazine. “For me, this art is very real – no matter whether I have creative control or not.”
In an in depth-interview in GQ’s November 2009 issue, Sasha talks to renowned German journalist and book author Eckhart Nickel about her love of philosophy and porn, her night dreams, her views on American society and the capitalist nature of emotional relationships in the 21st century. She even reveals some details about her first forays into movie directing:
“Each one of my scenes is based on dialogue – but the language is sex.”
For the images accompanying the interview, German photographer Cellina von Mannstein met Sasha for an extensive, sexy session in the hills of Hollywood, California. Mannstein, who used to be Terry Richardson’s assistant for a couple of years, is based in Berlin now and is world-famous for her spectacular work for magazines such as Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, ,i-D, and Zoo Magazine.
“For us at GQ, Sasha is the number one exponent of a completely new type of woman, artist and celebrity,” says Joachim Hentschel, arts editor.
“Finally our dreams of an extensive spread with her became true – and the simply stunning images and interview prove we were right!”
GQ issue November 2009 is on sale now in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. An online gallery of the images as well as a making-of movie can be seen at www.gq-magazin.de/grey.
