Porn Valley- I spoke to Sean Carney [not to be confused with Sean Connery] who is the director of Marketing & Publicity for Hustler Video/VCA Pictures and he tells me that the report of 10 employees walking out at VCA on Friday was incorrect. Carney concedes while there’s some tough periods of adjustment that employees are going through over there, they are all professionals and no one walked out. But Carney is willing to concede that four employees have given their two weeks’ notice including Wendy Nitz and Bruce Whitney. Another two art directors are also involved.

> Otto Bauer’s shoot had to be cancelled today for lack of a still photographer. I’m told that an attempt was made to contact Bill Diehl with no success. Skeeter Kerkove who was supposeded to be handling camera said Diehl refuses to get either a pager or a cellphone and has probably lost untold amounts of money because of that. Apparently the other photogs who were on the “acceptable” list all had gigs today.
