Verne Troyer Handed a restraining order amid claims he bombarded ex-girlfriend with abusive texts

from – – He’s famous for playing Dr Evil’s half-pint henchman Mini Me in the Austin Powers films, but it’s his alleged wrongdoings in real life that have landed Verne Troyer with a restraining order.

The pint-sized star’s ex-girlfriend, model Yvette Monet, claims he has been bombarding her with abusive texts and emails since their split earlier this year.

Yvette, 25, alleges that she feared for her life after the 40-year-old warned she ‘better watch out’ because his friends had guns.

She also says that the Hollywood actor constantly bombards her with abusive texts calling her a ‘hooker’.

‘I have moved on, [but] he keeps emailing me, calling me and texting me awful messages like “I hope God is with you”… Calling me names like hooker,’ Monet wrote in a court declaration obtained by website E! News.

‘He will not stop. I’ve asked him more than 10 times to leave me alone… He said that he won’t stop because he doesn’t want me to see anyone else.

‘Verne’s friend Bart is carrying guns and will do anything he says…his friend Jose is a cop and has guns as well’.

She told a judge in LA: ‘I’m afraid for my life.’

Troyer was temporarily banned from coming within 100 yards of Monet’s home, work or vehicle.

His lawyer Ed McPherson said: ‘He’s shocked and appalled to learn about the false and frivolous accusations that have been made by Ms Monet.

‘It’s beyond comprehension that a restraining order can be obtained with no notice to Mr Troyer and no opportunity to defend himself… We look forward to responding to these allegations in court.’

The Austin Powers star, who suffers from a condition called cartilage-hair hypoplasia dwarfism, recently appeared alongside the Heath Ledger in The Imaginarium Of Dr Parnassus in what was to be the late actor’s last film role.

He also appeared in Celebrity Big Brother ealier this year alongside stars including rapper Coolio, LaToya Jackson, glamour model Lucy Pinder and Ulrika Jonsson.

In June 2008 a sex tape featuring Troyer and his former live-in girlfriend Ranae Shrider having sex was leaked by another ex-girlfriend Ranae Shrider to U.S. website TMZ.

Kevin Blatt, the man responsible for brokering the deal for the Paris Hilton sex tape in 2003, attempted to sell the video.

Troyer later sued TMZ, Blatt, and online rental company SugarDVD for invasion of privacy and copyright infringement.

The actor has also battled alcoholism in the past, twice checking himself into rehab.

In 2002, Troyer nearly died of alcohol poisoning after being distraught following a break-up with Genevieve Gallen, his bride for two months.
