Adam Wilcox posts on www.xxxwasteland.wordpress.com – Relative adult newcomer Christie Stevens has made her eight months in the industry count. With her platinum blonde good looks, natural charm and enthusiasm for erotic entertainment, Christie Stevens is poised to become a starlet talked about for many years to come.

Christie will be signing for L.A. Direct Models at Exxxotica Chicago this weekend beginning Friday, July 13 to Sunday, July 15.

Q: Let’s start at the beginning: Can you tell us how you entered the adult industry initially?

I graduated college last year with my bachelor’s degree in Communications. I danced my way through college and I had always wanted to do porn; it was always something that was in the back of my mind.

After I got my degree, I looked at my options and an office job just sound so boring to me. (Laughs) So, I just decided to go for it. I literally just typed “porn agencies” into Google and a whole bunch of them popped up. I started doing my research and I filled out the online applications to several agencies. They called me back and I flew out here to L.A.

Q: Have you enjoyed your time in the business thus far?

Yes, I love it. I’ve been told I’m a natural. (Laughs) So, I’m really enjoying it.

Q: Very nice. And you entered the industry last November, is that right?

Yes, that is correct.

Q: In that time, you have already worked with some of adult’s top studios, including Digital Playground, Penthouse and Brazzers, and even landed your first box cover recently with Lethal Hardcore.

Yeah. And I’ve shot for Jules Jordan Video as well. That movie is coming out July 30. So, yeah, I have shot for all of those companies already.

Q: Very cool. Who have been some of your favorite studios and performers to work with?

One of my favorite performers is Manuel Ferrara. I did a scene with him for Digital Playground. It’s not out yet – it was for Riley Steele’s feature that is going to be coming up. He is just a great performer – he’s so intense and passionate, and he really gets into the scene. He made me look good. He knew what he was doing so much and he really brought out the best in me, which is what the guys are there to do.

So, I really loved working with Manuel and I loved working for Digital Playground. I loved shooting for Penthouse. They are just both really professional companies. They put out great content, they treat the performers really well and they are very high-quality.

I also liked working with Voodoo. He was the talent for my second scene ever. I haven’t worked with him since, but I’d love to work with him again now that I’m a little more experienced.

I also liked shooting for Jules Jordan because I’m really into the whole artistic, high-fashion, creative thing – you have a little bit more freedom working for Jules to just do what feels natural and to bring out the most authentic performer.

Q: Are there any studios or talent you have yet to work with that you would like to down the road?

Yes, definitely. Elegant Angel is at the top of my list. So is Evil Angel. I also haven’t worked with Hustler yet – I really want to shoot for Hustler as well. So, I’d say those are my top three.

Q: Do you have any specific aspirations in mind for your career or maybe a visual of where you see yourself ten years from now?

Yes. Right now, I would really like to be nominated for AVN and XBIZ. I would love to win awards, but even just to be nominated would be such an honor. I would like that for 2013. That is what I’m working toward.

I would also like to have my own feature films and be the star of my own feature. I did my first one for Digital Playground, but I’d like to do a lot more acting with the parodies and things like that. I’d like to be in a lot of parodies and full-length features.

Ten years from now, I’d really like to be more involved in mainstream. I’d like to have built such a name for myself in adult that I have lots of other opportunities in mainstream. Ten years from now, I don’t think I would want to be working too much in adult anymore. I think by then I would have accomplished everything I would have wanted to in this industry – I hope, anyway. (Laughs) That’s the plan.

So, I’d say mainstream. Directing is a possibility, but I’m definitely more of a performer. I like being in front of the camera rather than behind it. (Laughs)

Q: Yourself and quite a few other starlets recently filmed a music video for Brian McKnight, is that right?

Yes.

Q: Can you tell us a little bit about that?

Yeah. It was a last-minute call to go shoot a music video. Derek, my agent, called me the night before. It was just a really fun opportunity. I got to meet a lot of other girls like Alexis Texas and Monique Alexander and become familiarized within the industry, if that makes sense. I got to meet more people so more people know who I am, because I’m still very new.

Brian McKnight actually wasn’t in the video too much. He just made a little appearance at the end. It was a lot of fun. We wore bikinis and little dresses and got to dance around and play in the pool. They used a little rapper called 5 Cent to sing over the part of Brian McKnight and he was just hilarious. He was cracking us all up the whole time.

So, it was just a lot of fun. I got to meet the other girls, I got to meet Brian McKnight, which was really cool – he’s a really nice person. It was the first music video I’ve done. It was just fun; we just kind of messed around. (Laughs)

Q: You are going to be signing at Exxxotica Chicago this weekend as well, is that right?

Yes.

Q: You also attended the Exxxotica Miami convention in May, I believe?

Yes.

Q: Did you enjoy that experience?

Yeah, I really liked going to the convention. I love meeting the fans, that’s one of my favorite parts of what I do (Laughs), just getting to be out there and meet the people who are watching me, supporting me and supporting my career. It’s a lot of fun. And I got to dress up. (Laughs) It was cool.

Q: For sure. Were there any misconceptions you had about the adult industry prior to your entry that you have discovered to be untrue now that you are part of the business?

Honestly, not really. (Laughs) I didn’t really have a lot of preconceptions. I’m pretty open sexually and pretty accepting of alternative lifestyles. Everyone is really nice and it’s just a lot of fun.

Q: Very cool. On the flip side, are there any misconceptions by people outside the industry that bother you?

No. People are going to believe what they want to believe and that doesn’t really bother me. They are all still watching it.

Q: That’s right. May I ask a few questions about yourself as a person if that’s alright?

Yeah!

Q: Can you tell us where you were raised and how you would describe yourself growing up?

I was raised in Southern California in a suburb. I had intelligent, caring parents and they both had very successful careers. I got to go with my mom on a lot of her business trips, so I got to see a lot of places that most kids my age didn’t.

I had a good childhood. I was well-taken care of – I got to have ballet lessons and I had a great education. My parents were really supportive of me going to school – it was really important to them that I go to college. That is part of why I didn’t get into the adult industry until after I got my degree: because those values were instilled in me. I had a lot of fun growing up.

Q: Very nice. How about interests and hobbies away from work?

I love to work out. I have a personal trainer, so I’ll typically go to the gym four to six times a week, depending on how busy I am.

I love to read, I love to dance. Like I said, I did ballet growing up and jazz. I love music. So, those are just a few things that I like to do.

Q: As you mentioned before, you are a college graduate and you majored in Communications, is that right?

Yes, Mass Communications.

Q: Is that also a field that you are interested in exploring in the future?

Well, I’m kind of already using it with this career. (Laughs) There are definitely a lot of things that are applicable.

Q: How about favorites? You mentioned that you love music and love to read.

Okay, this is going to sound kind of corny, but Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles. (Laughs)

Q: Oh, that’s cool.

All four of those books – I love those books. I also like the George R. R. Martin A Song of Ice and Fire series. I love that whole series and I can’t wait until the next book comes out. And then, I really like Philippa Gregory; she wrote a whole series about the Tudors. She wrote The Other Boleyn Girl – that was just one of the books in the series. So, I really liked that one.

Moulin Rouge! is one of my favorite movies. (Laughs) I would say Moulin Rouge! is my favorite movie.

Q: How about musical artists?

I’m a shameless Britney fan – and Christina Aguilera. (Laughs) I can’t help it. I like Cascade – I’m into the whole electronic dance craze. I love that they are putting all of this electronic music into Top 40 kind of hip-hop stuff. I love that mix. I like Rihanna; I like a lot of the Top 40 artists lately.

Q: Is there one thing about yourself that you think would surprise a lot of people?

Hmm … not really. I’m pretty honest about who I am, so I don’t think there is anything too surprising. (Laughs)

Q: Are there any current or upcoming projects you would like to put out there?

Well, I have the movie for Jules Jordan and that is coming out July 30 – it’s Mandingo Massacre 5. Skin Diamond and Eva Angelina are also in that. So, that’s my first movie for Jules Jordan.

I have that Digital Playground movie, but they didn’t tell me the name of it. I’m sure that won’t be out for a while because it’s Digital Playground and that usually takes a while.

Just Exxxotica and the movie for Jules Jordan. I shot a couple of scenes for Brazzers recently. I’m really excited for those scenes to come out. One of them is for Big Tits in Sports and the other one is for Doctor Adventures. Those should be out in the next month or two.

Q: To finish up, is there anything you wish to say to readers?

Just to follow me on Twitter for more updates – my Twitter is @ILuvChristie. And I hope they enjoy my work. (Laughs)
