EL DORADO, Kan. (AP) — A Kansas judge has granted a delay in the trial of a man charged with killing a college student who led a secret life as an Internet pornography model.
The Kansas Attorney General’s office says the new trial date for Israel Mireles is Feb. 8.
Mireles is charged with capital murder, rape and aggravated criminal sodomy in the death of 18-year-old Emily Sander.
Mireles had been scheduled to go on trial in November. Butler County District Judge David Ricke granted the defense request for a continuance following a hearing Thursday.
