from www.abc-7.com – FORT MYERS: Police are looking for three suspects involved in a shooting that left two men dead at a Fort Myers strip club early Wednesday morning.
Shortly after midnight two Hispanic men tried entering Lookers nightclub, located at 4045 Fowler Street, when one of them had issues with his ID, according to the Fort Myers Police Department.
Police say he was in process of getting valid identification when a group of Hispanic males pulled up and a fight broke out.
Multiple shots were fired from the group of Hispanic males.
Two customers, including the man who was having problems with his ID, were shot and killed.
Police say he stumbled into the club to get away from the gunfire but collapsed onto the floor and died.
The suspects fled in a black Ford pickup truck with custom rims.
The incident does not seem to be a random act based on surveillance video, according to the Police Department.
“As of right now we have nobody in custody; we have very good leads, and I’m sure we’re only going to get even better leads. It’s just a matter of time,” said Lt. Jay Rodriguez with the Police Department.
Investigators have passed on the surveillance images to local agencies to search for the suspects.
Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to call Crimestoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS.
