IFA Responds to AdultFYI

WORLD WIDE WEB – The Internet Freedom Association [IFA] has responded to the AdultFYI story posted yesterday regarding their dismissal of BiSexual Britni recently.

Attorney and IFA General Counsel, Lawrence Walters writes:

The IFA Board voted to remove “Bisexual Britni” from the Board given the Board’s determination that her positions and beliefs differed significantly from the mission and policy of the IFA. The IFA was formed to protect adult content created by consenting adults for consenting adults. One of the group’s goals is to build a solid relationship with the mainstream of America in order to represent the adult Internet industry for what we truly believe it to be — a community of ethical and responsible business professionals. We hope to correct many common misconceptions about our industry, and in the process build a better relationship with the government, our customers and even our detractors. In order to accomplish these goals we feel that it is of paramount importance that the IFA never be mistakenly thought to support production or marketing of illegal underage erotica or illegal sexual behavior. Out of respect for Britni’s privacy, the IFA is not interested in publicly airing the specific details about the decision that brought about her departure from the Board of Directors. Suffice it to say that the Board felt that Britni’s departure would be best both for Britni and for the organization and its goals.
