RadarOnLine: Ron Jeremy Comments on HIV Story; Says It’s Someone from Gay Porn

from www.radaronline.com – An unnamed porn actor has tested positive for HIV and the industry’s most famous face, Ron Jeremy, tells RadarOnline.com the buzz is that it’s a male actor who works in gay adult films.

“It’s politically incorrect to say, but it’s typically a lot easier to get it through homosexual intercourse than heterosexual,” Jeremy said in an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com.

In the gay films they don’t necessarily get tested because they use rubbers all the time, unlike in the straight films. Gay film companies do not require testing because they use protection for everything.”

News of the infected actor broke Tuesday, prompting two of the industries leaders – Vivid Entertainment and Wicked Pictures – to shut down production.

“I don’t think it’s a major player; I think it’s someone that works every now and then and that annoys the crap out of me,” Jeremy said.

“If it is a major player, I’ll be really shocked. Most of the regulars have been getting tested for over 10 years and have a lifestyle that doesn’t warrant HIV.”

The Adult Industry Medical Healthcare Foundation tests porn actors and the law requires them to test negative for all sexually transmitted diseases within 30 days of working on a project.

“It’s very important that people know we take the ELISA test for HIV which cuts down the window for results and in heterosexual porn, testing is absolutely mandatory,” Jeremy said.

ELISA [Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay] has many uses, one of which is a biochemical technique used to quickly detect HIV.

“The thing that makes it so sad is that some idiot who’s hardly in the business tests positive and shuts down the porn companies and puts people out of work and the industry is suffering,” Jeremy said.

“This is coming at a very bad time because the industry is holding on by a thread.”
