Dina insists that’s not the real story. Her famous daughter walked away from the edgy project because “The movie is about a drug addict and a porn star… it is hard when you are a serious actor with what she has been through, we don’t need that.”

Lohan is slated to remain at Betty Ford until Jan. 3.

“It was hard for her to turn it down, because it was an amazing role,” Dina added. “She made the ultimate decision, she always does.”

And despite the “uninsurable” claims, Dina says her daughter has “had a lot of offers” for film work once she’s out of rehab.
