Toronto- from www.mirror.co.uk – A COUPLE are raising their baby as neither a boy or a girl so the tot can choose its own sex when it grows up.

Kathy Witterick and David Stocker have kept the gender of four-month-old Storm [pictured right] a secret from everyone except their two young sons, a friend, and the midwives who delivered the child.

After the birth, the pair emailed loved ones, writing: “We’ve decided not to share Storm’s sex – a tribute to choice in place of limitation, a stand up to what the world could become in Storm’s lifetime (more progressive?).”

The couple, of Toronto, Canada, let sons Jazz, five, and Kio, two, wear dresses and grow their hair long.

But after Jazz – who is often mistaken for a girl – suffered an “intense” time over his appearance, they decided to raise Storm as “genderless”.

David, who has been blasted by child psychologists, said: “If you really want to get to know someone, you don’t ask what’s between their legs.”
