Tera Patrick: Hooker Ad Misrepresents

Porn Valley- Porn is a multi-billion dollar business, and among the industry’s stars, Tera Patrick is as hot as it gets. But the XXX superstar really got steamed in December when she saw a small display ad in a Los Angeles adult newspaper with her picture. https://adultfyi.com/read.aspx?ID=2621

The ad read, “Tera Patrick available for in/outcall, call me direct,” and it included a phone number. The trouble is, Tera claims, the ad was a fake.

“I’m very angry,” Tera told “CJ”. “[The ad] portrays me in a light I don’t want to be portrayed.”

Tera, whose real name is Linda Ann Hopkins, is suing Metro Entertainment, the California company she says placed the ad. In her lawsuit, she claims the ad damaged her business, invaded her privacy and confused her fans.

“My fans definitely had the impression that I was out there actively working,” she said. “They would say, ‘Hey, I called you last night, it was great talking to you.’ And I was like, ‘What?’ I would do my dance gigs and they said, ‘Hey, I’m going to stop by and see you later.’ And they were giving me the ‘wink’ and I was like, ‘What are you talking about?'”

Although Metro Entertainment is the only company named in the suit, Tera’s attorney David Beitchman told us it’s a big problem in the porn business. He claims there are other entities out there allegedly ripping off stars with phony phone ads.

“They’re very careful about hiding and covering their tracks,” Beitchman said. “If you call this number it doesn’t go to an office, it goes to another phone number and it’s possibly routed through another phone number so they keep themselves hidden.”

Complicating the problem for Tera and other adult stars are release forms. Tera admits she signed some model release forms early in her career in which she might have unwittingly given up rights. “They can airbrush a penis on you if they want,” she complained. “They can do whatever they want, and I started contacting other girls who had this happen to them.”

Another source of confusion is that some porn stars actually do engage in what’s called “escorting” on the side. Tera says she’s not one of them. “I don’t have anything against any of the girls who do that, but it’s just not for me,” she said. “When I meet my fans I have my clothes on.”
