Porn Valley- HOOKERS WITH hearts of gold may be passe, but porn stars are so hot that it doesn’t even seem a cliche that “This Girl’s Life” shows adult actress Moon (Juliet Marquis), when she’s not parading around her bedroom before Webcams, quietly caring for her Parkinson’s-ridden father.

It probably doesn’t hurt that James Woods is playing Moon’s dad or that Marquis is so beautiful that she needs to wear an unattractive wig to be believable as someone who’s paid to have sex on camera, since it seems likely that some people would be willing to pay money just to look at her fully clothed.

A film about the adult-film industry that really is for adults, “This Girl’s Life” makes its TV premiere Saturday on Showtime – formerly the “no limits” channel – after some stops on the festival circuit.

Marquis actually is at her most interesting when her clothes are on, especially in scenes with Woods and with Kip Pardue, who plays a would-be boyfriend who’s not sure he wants a relationship with a porn star (but who can’t, like most of Moon’s non-business friends, control his curiosity about what she does).

Written and directed by Ash, the film takes a nasty turn when one of those friends asks Moon for a favor, leading her into a line of work even more unsavory than being filmed having sex and to just the kind of violence we’ve come to expect from movies about women like Moon.
