What’s your favorite Jayme Langford story?

C’mon there’s so many of ‘em, you have to have one. Like the time Langford didn’t show up for the Adam & Eve shoot, Bree’s Big Screw Review. Langford chose that day to quit the business with no advance warning. Or at least that was the message conveyed by LA Direct her agent.

Except Langford snuck over to A-List and began working for them on the sneak, leaving egg on LA Direct’s face. There was talk of lawsuits. Yeah, that Jayme Langford.

My Langford story’s nowhere as good. The time I remember was in Jerry’s Deli when I was interviewing her, and the waiter almost dumped the desert tray in her lap- on purpose.

“What a bitch,” he muttered. I think he was way off base in his observation, however. Since he was obviously mistaking being a bitch for being obnoxious.

Langford, a former Hustler cover girl, AVN Best New Starlet nominee, collector of pink guitars, Red Bull freak, and wannabe plastic surgeon, could sometimes rub you that way.

When I spoke to Langford, it struck me that she had a lot of places to go and a lot of people to see for someone who was only 19. You could sum up her persona in one word: “attitude”.

“Entitlement” is another word that easily comes to mind, and Langford did a pretty good imitation of someone from money, though she was pretty vague about her origins. One clue seemed to be the fact that Langford palled around with a lot of big names from the music business.

Whether a website called www.screenjunkies.com filled in some of those biographical blanks today remains to be seen.

The site did a piece titled “5 Celebrity Daughters Who’ve Done Porn” and had Langford included in the esteemed company of Sara Kosar [Bernie, the NFL quarterback’s daughter] and Montana Fishburne. Also included on the list were Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton, but they don’t count.

“Not all celebrity daughters in porn capitalize on their famous last names,” states ScreenJunkies.

“Take Jayme Langford, whose identity as rock star Dave Navarro’s daughter is such a secret that it isn’t even mentioned on her Wikipedia page. This might be because unlike Montana Fishburne, Jayme Langford isn’t exactly a porn ‘star.’ According to recent rumors, she’s currently addicted to crystal meth and living out of her car.”

I guess the thick Spanish accent threw me, but when porn chick Avi Roth was around and swore up and down she was David Lee Roth’s daughter, I had a real hard time with that one. Fact is, Avi was apparently telling the truth, and Roth’s other daughter, Brenna, has vouched for her.

So it’s not entirely out of the realm of possibility that Langford could be the mystery princess in the Navarro kingdom. Dave Navarro is 44; Langford is now 22 and all her rock n’ roll stories would make a lot of sense in that context.

[And we won’t even bring up that embarrassing incident from the Showtime mini-series, Deeper Throat, in which Navarro agreed to direct a movie for Vivid then at the last minute dumps the whole project in Tera Patrick’s lap.]

One person who’s not buying the Navarro daddy story is Langford’s former PR rep who’s no longer in the adult end of the business.

“They were seen as a couple at a lot of events together,” he says. “I’ve seen a picture of Jayme Langford’s dad, and it’s not Dave Navarro, so I doubt that information. Especially when they say she’s on crystal meth.”

If what he says is true, perhaps it’s another reason not to believe everything you read on the Internet.

Like that item TMZ reported about the “millions of views” Kim Kardashian’s porn tape website purportedly got because of her wedding.

According to TMZ, the site, www.kimsuperstar.com normally gets “only” 300,000 unique visits a month but allegedly saw a spike of 2 million visits over the weekend. I noticed a few witless mainstream news sites also picking up on that story, although no one seemed to bother checking whether the claims were true or not.

The cynics among you, I know, discount the Alexa rankings, but no such groundswell was reported even by Alexa.

It’s current ranking as of the TMZ piece is 7,372,450 which makes it a certified flop. One might take a wild guess how TMZ got those revised stats since the Kardashian site is run by Vivid.
