Adelphia Drops XXX porn

No sooner were they in…they got pulled out!!!

WWW- Adelphia Communications Corp. is ending a short-lived attempt at getting into the lucrative hard-core porn industry.

Adelphia earlier this month launched triple-X video-on-demand programming on cable in certain markets, including Southern California. The hard-core porn was supplied by Playboy Enterprises Inc.

The Tupelo, Miss.,-based American Family Association asked people to send an e-mail message to President Bush and Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, suggesting they instruct the Department of Justice to “begin obscenity prosecution.”

Adelphia spokesman Paul Jacobson on Feb. 10 issued a statement saying, “Some concern has been expressed over this type of adult programming. Adelphia will remove it from all of its systems.”

Adelphia is the nation’s fifth-largest cable television company. It moved its headquarters to Greenwood Village from Pennsylvania in 2003 after filing for bankruptcy in June 2002.
