Virginia Beac, Virginia- A search warrant affidavit filed in connection with the Bryan Kocis murder investigation will remain sealed, a Virginia Beach, Va., judge has ruled, according an attorney in the case said.
The search was conducted at the Virginia Beach home of Harlow Cuadra last month after Cuadra admitted to the media he was the person in a photograph that Luzerne County police were circulating after the murder of Kocis, 44, of Dallas Township.
Attorney Barry R. Taylor, who represents Cuadra, said he was disappointed and that the ruling was unexpected. Taylor has been trying to have the search warrant unsealed to find out “if they had probable cause” or “if this was just a fishing expedition.”
Police have not declared Cuadra, a gay male escort, a suspect in the case. Taylor said he has not let his client talk to police.
A successful adult film producer, Kocis was found stabbed and slashed to death following an arson fire at his Midland Drive home Jan. 24.
