After 8- Year Legal Battle, X-Mart Receives Business License from the City of Augusta

Augusta, Georgia – from www.nbcaugusta.com – The X-Mart adult video store can now officially do business. The owners received their business license from the city Wednesday.

Last week, commissioners decided to settle their eight-year legal battle that prevented X-Mart from opening its doors.

As part of the settlement, the city had to pay the store owners more than half a million dollars.

“No, we are going into business. We have the license right here. We always intended to go into business. That’s what the whole fight was over,” said the store’s attorney William Sussman.

The store is expected to open within the next two or three weeks.
