Porn Valley- AIDS Healthcare Foundation, the nation’s largest AIDS organization will be at the Hustler Hollywood store on Thursday, July 1st at 7:00pm where Larry Flynt will be promoting his new book “Sex, Lies and Politics.”

AHF will ask Flynt to “DO THE RIGHT THING,” and voluntarily adopt the use of condoms in the production of Hustler films. Condom use is not currently standard in the straight porn film industry and they are often not used. Recently the adult film industry was sent into a tailspin after the announcement that numerous Los Angeles based performers tested positive for HIV after performing without condoms on the set of porn films. These needless infections have been at the forefront of much controversy over whether or not condoms should be legally mandated in the pornography film industry.

AHF contends that porn film producers should voluntarily agree to 100% condom use during filming. Larry Flynt has been an influential leader in the pornography industry over past decades and is in a position to change the way that heterosexual pornographic films view condom usage. According to a recent op-ed piece in the Los Angeles Times, Flynt argues that “market testing – and conventional wisdom – tells us that films that feature actors wearing condoms don’t sell.” AHF argues that this simply does not have to be true and AIDS advocates plan on going to his doorstep to tell him this.

Protesters and AIDS activists will rally outside of Hustler Hollywood store at 8920 Sunset Blvd. on Thursday, July 1st 2004 at 7:00pm sending the message “Larry Flynt, do the right thing!” Press conference will follow at 7:30pm. Larry Flynt’s new book “Sex, Lies and Politics” was released June 18th 2004.

The organization also picketed Flynt’s headquarters earlier this month to coincide with that book’s release.
