NYC- TRANSSEXUAL party promoter Allannah Starr https://www.adultfyi.com/read.aspx?ID=4924 says she did not have a gay ol’ time at Splash the other night when the doorman turned her away because of her feminine appearance. The seething she-male is said to be mulling a lawsuit to contest the gay bar’s no-women policy on Saturdays.
She wrote on her Web site, “I was denied entrance to a public place for the soul [sic] reason that I am a transsexual – that, my friends, is the ugly world we all know so well: discrimination. In April 2004, the New York City Council passed a transgender anti-discrimination bill that added the phrase ‘gender identity or statement’ to NYC human-rights laws. Not only was I not allowed in, but neither were two genetic women . . . Clearly this was a violation of our rights.”
Splash staffer Greg Jones says the club tries to talk women out of entering on Saturdays but will admit them if they insist. “It is a men’s only night, but if they say, ‘No, I want to come in,’ we will let them in. I don’t know what she is trying to prove. My doorman said she got all huffy and stomped off.” Starr, who hosts the weekly “Trannylicious” party at Opaline, must know that Sunday is transsexual night at Splash.
