It’s an idea so brilliant that only Pamela Anderson could have thought of it: topless radio. It’s not clear how her listeners will know, but the ”Stripperella” star says she’ll be wearing nothing above the waist but headphones on her weekly radio show, ”Club Pam,” which debuted this week on Sirius satellite radio. Sirius confirmed what it called the ”watershed in broadcasting” in a statement, which said the uninhibited and unencumbered hostess would be broadcasting the hour-long show live from her Los Angeles bedroom each Friday at 5 p.m. ET. The first broadcast was yesterday. The show will feature ”personal advice, anecdotes, interviews, call-ins, and bedtime stories,” Sirius said. Did we mention Anderson was going to be topless?
Fittingly, Anderson announced the breakthrough on Howard Stern’s radio show. In fact, she told Stern she’d thought of appearing on his show wearing nothing but pasties beneath her T-shirt. She reconsidered, however, telling Stern: ”I thought, ‘Well… but then it’d be too contrived,’ like as if I made the whole thing up.” Still, she assured of her own show: ”We’re gonna do it topless.” Guess it’s not too contrived for her own listeners.
