Anna Claire Clouds embarked on a journey with Jules Jordan during the summer, which began with a storyboard of ideas. Clouds stated that Jordan took these ideas and made them a reality, adding his personal flair. She described the project as a "once in a lifetime opportunity" focused on being present and trusting the process.
Clouds, who is in her fourth year in adult entertainment and is a native of Nashville, trusted Jordan to guide her through what she called "uncharted territory." She noted that during filming, she was "just kind of experiencing it" and "living," allowing Jordan to "do his thing knowing he would take my experience and make it beautiful." Clouds expressed her satisfaction with the outcome, stating it was "hard to put into words how extremely happy I am with how everything turned out."
The collaboration between Clouds and Jordan was discussed on and off since the beginning of the year, with concrete plans forming halfway through the summer. Clouds told AVN that every scene in the two-hour, 48-minute production was a collaboration from concept to completion.
Jordan commented on Clouds' request for a showcase, stating that he was "floored" by her willingness to engage in "incredible first time scenarios" after hearing her ideas. He described the release as an "ambitious project" and noted that it was "great to hear Anna's fantasies and darkest desires," which they quickly provided for the project.

"Anna Claire Clouds: Dark Side" is the latest entry in Jordan’s premium showcase series. The movie features Clouds in all four scenes, delivering three career firsts: her first double-penetration scene, her first blowbang, and her first gangbang.
