Ellis found a box of discarded VHS pornography near her home, and rather than thinking, “Is this 1997, where people watch porn on anything other than the Internet and VHS is still a viable media format?” she thought, “Profit.”

Ellis then went door-to-door in her neighborhood, attempting to sell the tapes for $5 a pop, before one of her neighbors called the police. She was arrested for nonlicensed solicitation, and the also cops seized her stash of tapes — all 12 of them.
