Las Vegas- After all, it’s only a beer T-shirt. And it’s certainly not Heidi Klum. In Vegas last week at a trade show that featured three days of lingerie and one fashion show, Arrow Productions got good mileage out of a product that never was.
Oh, the company was tinkering with the idea of developing a beer with the Deep Throat label at one time, Deep Throat, www.xxxdeepthroat.com being the flagship of Arrow Productions.
Besides an estimated gross revenue of $600 Million and probably a lot more since that figure was first tossed out, Deep Throat is a 36 year-old porn movie that keeps on giving. And doing so, it’s been the lynchpin of a multitude of licensing deals that’s spawned everything from nurse costumes to an energy drink, www.deepthroatenergy.com
Robert Interlandi, Arrow’s marketing director, says the beer T-shirts proclaiming a brew that doesn’t were the hit of the show, of all things.
“I also had the models from the fashion show ride the Ice Chest Scooter down the runway and pass out energy drinks,” Interlandi adds. “I have a Deep Throat Ice Chest scooter, it’s like a three-wheel ice chest. The girls were passing out drinks and porn. We had a very good presence at the lingerie show.”
Interlandi mentions how he beat one of his clients at go-kart racing, although the guy’s a professional.
“And there are a couple of other stories I can’t tell,” he mentions.
“This has nothing to do with sucking cans does it?” I ask Interlandi who’s become quite proficient at giving head to the energy drink container.
“I’ll tell you right now about sucking cans,” Interlandi continues. “I beat every single girl at that show. There’s still not a girl that can take more than 2 ½ inches. [Interlandi’s record]. The closest girl at the show did 1 ¾”.
“Then we had a girl pouring The Deep Throat Energy drink on another girl on top of the Deep Throat Corvette,” Interlandi adds, conceding that this might be one way of taking paint off a car.
“Then she fell off the Corvette. I can’t believe I got 75,000 clicks on YouTube with that. I got two naked girls. The clip’s called Deep Throat Energy Blooper. We were doing a Cheri magazine shoot and one girl was on top of the car. I said let’s pour a drink on her and shoot her. My dad was mad that I said that because his car is all perfect. It’s pretty cute, though. It runs 17 seconds. It’s as close as you can get to nude on YouTube.”
Then, next week, the Arrow caravan heads to Miami for the annual Exxxotica convention including the dog & pony show that brings in the Arrow Corvette and the mechanical bull. www.adultfyi.com/read.php?ID=22134
“We start the national tour,” says Interlandi. “And we have dates for stops on the way back.”
Last year the Interlandis, father and son, had something of a road Odyssey that included a stop in Pascagoula, Mississippi. Robert, unfortunately, chose to wear a T-shirt that said, “I Choked Linda Lovelace” and almost started another civil war with cop cars and inbreds as a supporting cast.

“But I’m telling everybody right now- I’m not going to stop in Alabama or Mississippi,” Interlandi laughs. “I’m just going to drive straight through. I’m not going to eat or sleep. Nothing. Because of that crap that happened in Pascagoula. That was complete bullshit what they did to us there. This time we’re scheduling our stops and where we’re going to sleep. But it won’t be either of those two states.”
Arrow has business stops in other states that will take them to Louisiana and The Lion’s Den; in Austin at Dreamer’s; El Paso at one of the LSMT stores as well as Tampa.
“It’ll be fun,” says Interlandi.
