As reported months ago on Adultfyi, the rumor was that Axel Braun was leaving New Sensations.

June 1st, 2005 (Chatsworth, CA): After eighteen months, and over 70 movies with New Sensations/Digital Sin/HotBoxxx, multi-award-winning director Axel Braun has decided to terminate his contract with the company. “I’ve been working a lot for the past year and a half, and I just needed some rest” says Braun, whose series Anal Retentive and Squirting 101 have recently won awards “plus, I felt I had come to a creative impasse with the company. They’re great people, but I just wanted to try something new and different”. Known for his big-budget features that combine intense storytelling with a special attention to artistic detail, Axel proved to be equally skilled in the gonzo format. The critical success of his feature film Compulsion, which won over 20 awards throughout the world, and the huge commercial impact of his gonzo series Squirting 101, Double Teamed, and Naughty College Schoolgirls, are clear indications of his ability to switch medium while keeping the quality at the highest standard. So what’s next for Braun? “Right now I’m just taking a break and exploring my options. And there’s this big film feature I’ve been wanting to make for a while…we’ll see”.
