We have been made to believe that they are protecting us, but at what cost and at what false insurances.

We would be better off taking that $110.00 and spending it on a good meal with our wife’s, husbands, girlfriends, boyfriends or lovers. The most recent press release that was sent out yesterday to the industry by Maggie from AIM, through their electronic mail is riddled with the same stuff they have been saying and we have been hearing from AIM since their conception, smoke and glass. How can that be, if they were doing their job as they told us these many years, can we be in the situation we are in? AIM Healthcare has been double-talking us for all these years, smoke and glass. Nevertheless, AIM says that they are an non profit organization, don’t let them kid you, it is big business. Two Parker Brother games are involved here to make it happen “Big Business” and “Monopoly” and if you have ever played those games when you were younger like I did with my family and friends you would understand the concept that AIM was and is till being built on.

Why would they fight so hard to keep any outside intervention, like other healthcare services to open? AIM HealthCare at this particular time is the only place you can go to get the test at that price, I call that a monopoly or a domination.

Batching Test: What are batching tests? Simple, but unless we know what is in the contract between the healthcare provider and the multiple labs they could be using, you do not know what they are actually paying for the tests. Let us think this one out, AIM says, out of the $110.00 we are paying for the test $70.00 is paid to the lab. This might be true, but for how many tests. Batching test is just like receiving three hamburgers or more for a dollar, no different.

Seroconversion (enough antibodies within the blood for the test reagent to test positive) occurs when the person has developed enough antibodies to HIV that the serologic (diagnostic test) test is positive. It takes 3 to 6 months for seroconversion to occur. The tests used to confirm a positive HIV result is (ELISA) enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay to detect the antibody to HIV. The Western blot test is used to confirm a positive result on ELISA test. Once infected with HIV, it can take the body 3 to 6 months to develop enough antibodies to HIV for the test result to be positive, resulting in a false-negative test if evaluated too early. Occasionally, as sample that tests reactivity by ELISA may give an indeterminate result by Western blot. The cause of an indeterminate result may be early HIV seroconversion or error during interpretation of the test. The test should be repeated every 2 to 3 months until the Western blot becomes positive or there are no longer suspicions of HIV disease.
