Bee in the FCC Bonnet Puts End to The Sonnet

Alexander the Poet writes: Hi guys. This is ATP writing. Just letting you know that, aside from calling in weekly to KSEXradio.com on The Wanker Show with a poem, I also call in once a month to a radio show called “After Dark” on a station based in Long Island, NY, WGBB 1240AM.

Well, not for long.

Just the other day, I received an email from the radio show’s host, Joe Salzone. The email is as follows:

Alexander,

I had a meeting yesterday with the legal people at Multicultural Broadcasting (parent company of WGBB). They are concerned about the ongoing indecency controversy and are requesting all hosts to tone down any “inappropriate” material. That means I will have to put your segment on hold for now until either the heat dies down or we reach some kind of agreement. I hate to do this but this isn’t my call. I’ll keep you updated.

Joe Salzone

Sigh. No love for poets in April which happens to be, National Poetry Month
