Bridget Monroe Calls it Quits- final

Porn Valley- I was talking to Bridget Monroe [pictured right] this morning. Monroe was calling to see if all the Chloe Jones rumors were true. Then, during the course of our conversation, Monroe announces that she’s retiring. She’s taking a job as a personal assistance to a pro football player. Monroe sounds ecstatic and I’m happy for her. Monroe’s a very nice lady that I met about 16 years ago when she first came into the business.

Monroe and I are talking about various bits of gossip. “That’s why I retired out of that business,” she states. ‘I’m so over it and done. No more. No porn. That part of my life is a closed book.” I ask Monroe if this also includes stripping and will she be hanging up her bustiers. She says she’s got a few gigs to make good on with Selena Steele; but for all intents and purposes, those commitments will be satisfied by the end of the year. Monroe said she wanted to bow out gracefully from the business instead of being pushed out. “I started out as the daughter; then I worked my way up being the mom in films but I don’t want to end up being a GILF,” laughs Monroe. “I do not want that. That’s not my goal in life.”

Monroe loves her job and the people she works for. But she won’t say for whom. “I get to go to a lot of football games,” she says. “Whoooooooooooooo!” Monroe explains that she met her present employer through friends. “We all went to a club. He was talking about how he was looking for a personal assistant. I was joking around that I was looking for a new job. He was, like what do you do now? I told him that i wanted to bow out gracefully. I said where do you go from there? I have no experience at anything. He’s like, you know what? I’ll give you a shot. I’ll give you a 30 day trial. I took the 30-day trial. And he’s like you get a raise and you’re on with me the full time.

Monroe says Steele basically brought her into porn. “I was fine until she walked into that strip bar. Her and Clive McClean are the reasons how I got started. I got into Hustler and it went from there.” I ask Monroe who’s going to be pulling the rabbit out of the ass in the act that Steele and she had together. “She can pull it out herself,” laughs Monroe. “I’m sure there are a lot of girls that would love to partner with her in a second. She’s amazing.”

Monroe’s job will keep her in L.A. “I do everything for him here and it’s the most amazing job in the world,” she says. “I’m so happy. It’s really nice. I didn’t think that I’d ever get a job like this especially doing what I’ve done. Because you’re kind of tainted in that industry. What offers are there for a girl in the real world who’s done movies for 16 years? That’s all I know. But I’m a pretty smart girl and have a good personality and am very organized.” Nonetheless, Monroe feels blessed that she’s had as many good years as she’s had in porn.
