Porn Valley- I just got off the phone with an irate Brooke Hunter. And I know she was irate because she told me she was. That’s because Hunter had just gotten off the phone with Sharon Mitchell in a ring around the rose situation. Hunter wants answers from Mitchell about what’s going on with AIM and the delayed PCR-DNA test results. As a result, Hunter is openly inviting Mitchell to come on her KSEX show, www.ksexradio.com Monday night and take the opportunity to please explain to the industry just what the fuck is going on with the protocols that’s causing a delay in getting test results back. Hunter tested on Monday and is still waiting for her results.
According to Hunter, Mitchell got off the phone claiming the lab- Health Line in Burbank – was on the other line. Only Mitchell called Hunter back moments later stating that it was a false alarm, that it wasn’t the lab. Hunter also quotes Mitchell as saying the lab was “lying” to her. Apparently about the length of time it would take to have the test results back. Either way, Hunter said she was “pissed as fuck”.
Hunter said she found the lab is lying much in the same league with the dog ate my homework alibi. “This is the simplest of things and I’ve tried to communicate this to Mitch,” said Hunter who’s done numbers of fund raisers on behalf of AIM. “But fuck this. I’m angry. I’m raging. Who’s going to pay my bills or the bills of the other girls? So I’ve got my reserve of money. But think about this. AIM has a website. And the last thing Sharon said to me before she got off the phone is that their server went down. Post something last week when you know on the 24th that the tests are taking more than 24-48 hours. If you know that something’s going on and that you’re changing protocols and that there might be an, oops, post it on the website.”
Either that or post it on Adultfyi, Hunter suggested. “But just get the word out. Call Rob Spallone. His big mouth will get it out there. Tell us that the lab is changing protocols so get in here early to test. That’s all we needed to know.” Hunter said she’s been talent for almost 8 years and has tests to cover the entire time she’s been in the business. “But I’m livid over this,” she states. “I’ve lost work because of this. I had to beg someone which is so not my style to please wait another day.”
By the same token, Hunter’s also received calls from talent telling her they want to work for her but can’t for the same reasons. Same people have told her they had to wait for as long as 7 days to get their tests back. What’s also got Hunter irked is the fact that she and Don Hollywood have a couple of websites they want to launch but the current situation is presenting huge obstacles.
“For the first time in my life I had to cancel a scene,” she tells me. “This is unlike us. The two of us can pull out 8 years of tests. And this is the first time I’m telling myself in 8 years that I can’t work?”
Hunter said when she mentioned to AIM about sending out a general e-mail she was asked if she was on Lab Dat. “No, I’m not. I’m not like VCA or Vivid or Wicked where I have hundreds of thousands of dollars going out for production. I’m a small operation. I’ve got a couple of websites that I shoot for. It doesn’t financially behoove me or Don to sign up for whatever it costs a month to download peoples’ tests.
“I’m tired of being the sweet, nice girl next door making politically correct statements,” she continued. “Fuck it. Sharon’s obligation is to talent and to let us know what’s going on. She needs to answer to the talent. You need to tell us what’s going on as opposed to covering your own asses.” What also disturbs Hunter is that a lot of companies will invariably look the other way and allow talent to work without updated tests results.
“It’s a sad state of affairs.” Hunter said the only answer she’s received from several days of banging her head against the wall is AIM telling her they’ll call you as soon as they know something.
