CBS Under Fire for Charley Sheen Strip Club Scene

The Parents Television Council is filing an indecency complaint with the Federal Communications Commission against CBS over a scene on the show Two and a Half Men.

The episode aired this past Monday evening in prime time and allegedly featured a three-minute strip club scene. Although the show is known for its edgy content, Dan Isett of the Parents Television Council (PTC) says CBS went too far.

“We feel like this is an instance that violates the federal broadcast decency law and [we] certainly encourage people to file complaints with the FCC if they agree,” he explains.

According to Isett, CBS has a recent history of airing indecent material on the public airwaves. “They had an unedited view of male nudity on Survivor a couple of weeks ago, and an unedited ‘f-bomb’ of all things, just a few weeks ago on Big Brother,” he adds. “So CBS, apparently, no longer thinks that broadcast decency rules apply to them.”

Concerned viewers, according to Isett, should contact advertisers who sponsored the show and encourage them to spend their ad dollars elsewhere.
