Gene, Regarding your article on Christian, please consider the following…
I hate to be the spoiler on Christian’s claims but lets talk truth here. The man approached us at an AVN show when he came to the straight side of the business and led us to believe he was new. We hired him to do a scene not knowing he was doing gay and tranny films. He made no mention to us that he had been a gay contract star for Falcon. We found out two weeks after he did his scene by seeing him in a photo on a TGP site sucking cock. We told him we didn’t appreciate him not telling us that he was crossing over. His feeling was that it wasn’t necessary to do so since nobody asks. That’s not exactly what I call being open about it. He called us again several times and we told him the same thing.
We don’t hire high risk categories for our movies. We have a rule around here that goes far beyond not hiring gays in our movies. We don’t hire girls that take three dicks in their asses. We don’t knowingly hire anal cream pie girls nor would we knowingly hire talent that has orgies together and shares needles. It’s very simple. There are just some high risk factor groups we eliminate for the safety and welfare of our talent.
We have nothing against Christian. He is a nice guy but it has nothing to do with the issue at hand. I think it’s great that he is so open about experimenting with his sexuality now. He just shouldn’t be experimenting with our risk factor. This excuse of “gay for pay” doesn’t fly with me and I have to tell you that we have nothing against gay or bisexual men. If your gay or bi, admit it. There’s nothing wrong with it. It’s who you are. If your gay I could care less. Be proud of it. Go up on that mountain and break as many backs as you want to! We have gays in our families that we love dearly. We had a gay assistant for almost three years and we have had close gay friends that have succumbed to Aides.
It’s not about ones refusal to admit they are bisexual or gay. It’s not about us refusing to hire them because of it. It’s solely about the higher risk factor involved in using people who engage in this type of sexual activity. It seemsthat some refuse to accept the risk factors in government studies but that doesn’t make them any less convincing to me. Christian can be very safe at what he does on gay sets. He can use all the precautions necessary but itdoesn’t mean we have to take the chance that he is doing this 100% of the time.
Marc Wallace was once on many a female talents top list to work with and we all know what happened there. Many girls admittedly don’t care if they work with men who have sex with trannies. They don’t care if they themselves fuck trannies. They also don’t care if they have two or three dicks in their bleeding ass and they don’t care if 10 guys cum in the open sores. Being that Aides is a semen and blood transmitted disease this is out right foolish as it is irresponsible and it doesn’t mean we have to hire them either.
This is all about personal choice. Not if someone is a nice guy or not. When you knowingly are active and participating in sex or other activities that are considered to be high risk factors and you avoid telling other talent what you do… you are taking away that persons choice. That’s not cool.
This has really got out of hand. The feeling seems to be that we are discriminating against gays by not hiring them in our movies. Some have implied that we hate them. That is against the law to discriminate based on ones sex and it is. It does not however imply ones sexuality nor does the law state that one has to involve themselves in high risk factors when having sex.
The bottom line here is that just as Christian has the right to do what he wants on a set (gay or straight), we have the right to know about it and make the choice of whether or not we want to hire and or work with him. Whenit comes to HIV and Aides, we are in a high risk category business period. For one to not try and eliminate all high risk factors that increase that risk… it defies all common sense. We wish Christian the best and he is a great performer. He just needs to understand his needs do not out weigh the need for talent to fully know what type of high risk activities you are involved in.
To add further to Christian’s statements on Batman’s show…
He admits that Taylor was the first one he worked with. I can tell you first hand, he did not tell Taylor that he was a gay performer. The fact that he sees no difference between hiring him as a model for a strap-on box cover where there is no penetration and actually hiring him for sex where someone actually gets penetrated makes me wonder what else confuses him in regards to safe sex practices.
We understand that being in the business, one is bound to end up working with someone that you don’t know is in a high risk category. That is the reason why every male and or female talent that Taylor works with is expected to have an HIV test that is taken the day before the scene. This studio pays for it in full, not the talent. Taylor also offers them a test that is taken the day before the scene is shot. She also encourages others to do the same. Granted, no one can stop the probability of another HIV scare in this industry but as talent we are responsible for ourselves to minimize the risk. If Christian truly believes this is retarded, then I fear for the safety of those that work with him even more.
I don’t understand what his problem is. He say’s none of this effects his being hired for scenes. He says he hasn’t lost any work. Fine. Obviously there are enough female talent out there that don’t care if he is bi or gay, so why is it so important to him to work with those that don’t want to take the risk? I guess only he can answer that.
