The movie premiere of Pirates II, the porn epic by Digital Playground was opening tonight. They chose the Orpheum theater in downtown Los Angeles to hold this event. Of course there was a huge red carpet, people interviewing porn stars, and the various industry reporters and photojournalists that are at every event. It was well attended, and I saw porn people there that I have rarely seen out in public. DP also stocked the event with people dressed as pirates……hilarious.

Digital Playground made Pirates I in 2005-2006, and it was the first adult movie to earn a million dollars (I think, I am not certain of course). They did this by making it into a B movie as well as an adult one, so as to extend their viewing audience. Pirates II was the same sort of movie, only on a grander scale. But more on that later.

Our group didn’t care about the red carpet, let’s face it, what purpose does it serve? Does it get anyone more work? I think not. So we grabbed our VIP wristbands and entered the theater.

There was a long hallway inside the theater where people were milling about, purchasing popcorn and soft drinks, and just hanging out. To the right was the actual theater, and to the left was the VIP room, a gigantic place that served alcohol.

I wish I could name everyone that attended this event, but it was pretty crowded and I am sure I missed maybe half of the industry people who attended. There was a fun, festive buzz in the crowd, and I was feeling good actually. Being around my co-workers as a whole means that although some of the people who think I am diseased and full of cooties are there, for the most part girls and guys were coming up to me to say hello and talk about this blog. Again I missed about half of the people here, so I apologize for the shoddy coverage. I am not a professional photographer, I just play one on this blog.

Again, I missed or couldn’t get pictures of a lot of people who were also in attendance, and for that I do apologize. Some of them were hanging out with people who aren’t friendly towards me, or think I have cooties. As a matter of fact, I had to avoid Misty Vonage, because she was hanging out with Rhyse and Rhylee Richards (Rhylee was looking rough too, really bad extensions and she gained some weight in her face……yikes!). Veronica Rayne and Jack Vegas didn’t say hello, nor did Marcus London and Devon Lee. Casey Parker ignored me for a good two minutes as well. Good times.

Jenny Hendrix was hanging with Nicole Ray, who I didn’t recognize because the last time I saw her, she was giving me the cold shoulder and acting like I had just shot her puppy. Of course this was strange considering that I had never met her in my life. Anyway, Jenny wanted me to take a picture of Nicole, and I was like…um, no thanks. Unless you want me to make fun of her even more in my blog today?

Okay enough with the shitty people in the crowd, without further ado, here are the pics before the movie started.

Danny Mountain was there tonight with his beautiful wife, Eva Angelina. She looked radiant and glowing….what a great couple. Hopefully I will have another baby pic for this blog before January!

Another curious phenomenom tonight was that when I went to take a picture of Jesse Jane and her husband, Rick Patrick, he tried to hold the camera for a pic of Jesse and myself. What the fuck? Bro, its your wife….get in the damn picture! Then when I ran into Katsumi and her boyfriend, he did the same fucking thing. Fellas, please, you are killing me.

One quick note about Jesse Jane. She is fucking phenomenal, I can’t stress that enough. I had the opportunity to work with her when I first started in this business in 2004 (for Posh Kitty), and she has ALWAYS gone out of her way to be nice and friendly with me ever since. She is absolutely ravishing, never stops taking pictures with fans, and does unbelievable scenes. Just a fantastic porn star in every way, shape, and form. Where is she from again?…………………….ah thats right TEXAS! I should have known.

Steven St. Croix is dating Dyanna Lauren again, and I had the opportunity to chat with her for a few moments. Again, I first met her at AVN 2 years ago, and being the semi-creepy fan of hers that I am, I grabbed a picture AND told her how much I loved her work.

Seeing her again tonight, I had to re-hash that creepy fan persona that I have adopted around her. She was cordial towards me, but underneath that smile of hers, I could almost see her thinking, “good lord this dude is a douchebag, why is he even talking to me and how can I get away quickly?” Lets just assume that I won’t be working for her on any movies in the future. lol

The Orpheum Theater is a very cool and ornate theater. Everyone slowly came in and took their seats as the organ played some opera music up front.

We sat in the last row, so everyone could go grab more drinks, go out to smoke, talk on the phone if necessary, Ben English thinks of ALL the angles, my friends. I found myself next to Lexi Tyler and Alanah Rae. Alanah showed me her boob during the movie……
