WWW- Christie Brinkley’s bed-hopping hubby was incredibly still sporting his wedding ring yesterday, after running home to Mommy and Daddy to try to hide from the marital mess he left behind in the Hamptons.
Even with his affair to a teenage girl exposed and his marriage to Brinkley over, the Hamptons homebuilder kept the simple gold band on his ring finger while spending the weekend with his elderly parents on the North Fork in Long Island.
Cook appeared amazingly cool, calm and still well-connected as he chatted on his cellphone, pored over architectural plans and read the newspapers while taking refuge inside his parents’ two-story, modern home at a retirement community in Suffolk County.
The clean-cut Cook, 47, hasn’t been seen for over a week at his Southampton Village architectural firm – the spot where he first made physical advances toward his then-18-year-old assistant, Diana Bianchi, before having an affair with her and ruining his marriage.
But the architect was spotted working in a relaxed fashion yesterday as if nothing had happened – his hair finely combed as he sported a light-blue, polo-style shirt, designer khaki shorts and brand-new New Balance sneakers.
On Saturday, Cook drove his black Range Rover over to the home of his aging parents, Harry and Jean Cook. He stayed the night, parking his pricey car in their garage.
His parents’ home is located in a quiet port town that doesn’t normally feel the glare of the Hamptons spotlight, where Cook and his former cover-girl wife – who have a young daughter together – were constant fixtures on the social circuit.
Cook’s parents refused to comment yesterday. And their son wouldn’t even come to the door.
When Cook took a walk outside with an unidentified relative yesterday afternoon, he was asked about his affair with Bianchi.
Cook began shaking his head and refused to answer questions while hiding behind sunglasses.
“You’re trespassing,” Cook said.
“Security is on its way,” he added, composing himself before taking pictures of license plates belonging to a Post reporter and photographer and calling a private security company.
Cook’s cheating ways were exposed after Bianchi’s stepfather told Brinkley about the steamy affair, and she confirmed it through e-mails she discovered between the pair.
Bianchi has told The Post that Cook first took a shine to her when she was a 17-year-old clerk at a tony toy store he used to visit in the Hamptons to buy gifts for his and Brinkley’s kids.
He eventually wooed her to his architecture firm, hiring her as his assistant, she said.
The pair later began a torrid affair, Bianchi said.
During their time together, Cook showered her with cash and jewelry and told her that he wished he wasn’t married, Bianchi said.
Soon after Bianchi stepped forward with her story, sexy singer Samantha Cole revealed that the caddish Cook also had wooed her as a young woman while he was dating others.
