TUCSON, AZ – Comcast Communications is turning over the Super Bowl pornography investigation to the FBI, stating that the event was an “intentional malicious act.”
The pornographic interruption occurred late in the 4th quarter of the dramatic Super Bowl a week ago. Just after Cardinals wide-receiver Larry Fitzgerald scored a touchdown, Comcast viewers in Tucson were greeted with a different kind of touchdown ceremony – full frontal male nudity.
Kelle Maslyn, Corporate Affairs Manager, with Comcast states, “Comcast has conducted an extensive, methodical investigation of the superbowl programming interruption in Tucson, and we have verified that this was an intentional malicious act.”
“Our investigation has proven that our technical systems were working properly,” says Maslyn.
According to the statement the FBI will now take over the investigation to determine what occurred and who is to blame, “We have determined that the next step is to turn the investigation over to the FBI. We have shared all of our information on this situation with the FBI and will continue to provide our full cooperation to them throughout their investigation.”
