New Bern, North Carolina- Pure Bliss owner Greg Sakas called this week and left a couple of updates. Sakas whose stores were raided in January and September had been due in court this week on the 23rd and 25th to answer those separate charges.

Sakas says a continuance has been granted to November 16 and that both cases will now be combined.

“After sticking with attorneys Glen Barfield and Mark Chestnut who will be handling the criminal part of it, they want to make sure that we try both these cases on the 16th. We want to try this, and I don’t think the city will be entertaining a postponment.

“We are also hoping that in the mean time, Paul Cambria’s law firm will be giving me a birthday present.

“They’re supoosed to have all the paperwork in place to drop the hammer on New Bern by the 31st of October. That would be very suiting- it’s Halloween and my birthday. I told them that’s what I want for my birthday present. I want them to be sued and have it dropped on them that day. That would be the best birthday present I’ve had in years.”
