I did.”

Prior to that Skye worked in a car dealership; she did bookkeeping and went to beauty school. I mention to Skye that there’s a shitload of girls in the business who came over from accounting. “Very boring job,” Skye states. “Staring at a wall.” Skye also notes that she didn’t graduate from beauty school. “I didn’t like the hair part; I only wanted to do makeup, so I dropped out. A beauty school dropout. I did a year of basic education in college, I went for my A.A. I got bored of that so I didn’t go back the second year.” I figure AA could just as well mean Alcoholics Anonymous. “I’ve been to that one, too,” Skye laughs. Skye has plans to move out of the state.

“I’m finally getting out of California and moving up north with my mom to Oregon,” she says. “I think we’re going to open up a boutique there.” Skye said this doesn’t mean she’s leaving the business but will shoot minimally. One or two scenes a month. “I’m on the other end of casting.” Skye thought she was going to make the break six months ago.

Skye’s original intention was to stay in the business a short time and make some money. “My dad died- so I figured I’d pay off my mom’s shit which I did and then get out. All of a sudden I realized it was a year later.”

Asked about her first ever scene, Skye thinks the male talent is no longer in the business. “That was probably one of the few things he did but it was the Hustler Barely Legal Anniversary Edition. It was a very, very long day but it was nice.” Skye had to pretend that she knew how to use a sewing machine. “I stabbed my finger many, many times trying to remember the simple lines they gave me. I was supposed to be a seamstress fixing his pants. It didn’t go too well. I fucked up the pants.”

Her next scene was rough, and it made Skye want to quit the business altogether. “It was some degrading stuff- two guys and me; it was too much for me to be my second scene. Now it doesn’t bother me but to be my second scene? It was a lot. They slapped me in the face. I was pissed. I walked off set. I wasn’t that desperate for money.”

Skye said people tried talking to her about it, that she didn’t say anything about face slapping. Skye said neither did they tell her this was part of the scene. “They told me this was a regular boy-girl. That’s what my agent told me which meant nothing extreme; nothing too crazy. I didn’t know any better. So first of this guy is gagging me. I’m like na-ah. That was probably my worst situation.”

Skye was originally with Naughty Modeling and says Tim over there decided he didn’t want to get her any more work. “I left.- He said I was too fat and over the hill. I’m shot out. He threw every reason in the book why I didn’t have work.”

All of which I find odd, because I remember Skye getting comparisons to Serenity. “I still don’t know who she is,” Skye laughs. Skye has a boyfriend and realizes that her career isn’t all fun and games. “he’s done a couple of shoots with me- and he’s worked with another girl now. He’s starting to realize that it’s tough standing there trying to keep it hard.”

For someone who’s supposed to have been shot out, Skye has maybe 70 movies in circulation so far. “I’ve done like about 120.”

Skye was athletic in school and liked to party. “I always wanted to beat up the cheerleaders,” she laughs. Skye participated in baseball, where she was a pitcher and third baseman; and soccer. But sports didn’t keep her mind off sex. “I had lots of boyfriends,” she notes. Asked if she got in a lot of trouble balancing all those boyfriends, Skye says they all knew about each other. “I didn’t try to hide it.” Skye first had sex at 13. She went to her friend’s house. “She had a crush on this guy and he was hitting on me. We started drinking beer and ended up having sex.” Her first attempt at anal was eight months ago.

“It was outside the business- with my boyfriend,” she says. “We were camping.” Leaves and twigs in the scenario I ask. “And the drunkenness,” Skye adds.

“I have a boyfriend,” she continues. “I like what I do. I enjoy being on film, but I don’t want to be stuck with these guys telling me their life story, trying to hit on me or being mad that I don’t want to fuck them after the shoot’s done.”

Skye hasn’t had any stalkers but says there’s a couple of talent who would call her after the fact. “I’d say how did you get my number!? They eventually stopped but there was only a couple.”

Skye’s telling me her plans about going to Vegas and the VSDA. Not to sign but to party all night and come back in the morning. “But I don’t think that’s going to happen,” she says. “I only go to Vegas on side trips. You leave 8 o’clock at night. You get there by midnight, hopefully; stay up all night, and by check out time, drive home. And enjoy it.” Skye says she’s followed this routine many, many time since the age of 16.
