WWW- {Daily Mail] Cybill Shepherd has told how she was sexually assaulted by a movie star early in her career.

The 57-year-old actress, who has admitted to a string of affairs with co-stars, refused to name the actor who she said demanded sex and ‘threw me around the kitchen’.

She said she did not have the courage to make a police complaint at the time.

The assault happened ‘many years ago’ when she told the actor she was dating that she wanted to see other men, she said.

“He jerked the necklace off me and he threw me around the kitchen,” she recalled.

“And he said to me, ‘Don’t even think of getting the keys to your car, because I have them, and you’re not getting them to be able to get away’.”

She said another couple in the house restrained the actor long enough for her to escape.

“I tell you something – that changes your life for ever,” she said.

“It takes a while to trust men again. It takes a while to trust yourself again. You wonder, ‘How could I end up with someone who seems perfectly okay, to suddenly be demanding sex and me saying No and then (to be) terrorised?'”

Miss Shepherd, best known for her TV role in the 1980s series Moonlighting, was promoting her movie Open Window, in which she plays the mother of a rape victim.
