Darrah Ford writes on www.scottfayner.com – The Fort Myers Beach, Florida council has fired town manager William Scott Janke after Steve Nelson at AdultIndustryNews broke the story that Janke’s wife, Anabela Mota, is current porn star Jazella Moore.

There are two things I don’t understand. First thing is why would anyone in the adult industry break this story and destroy this couple’s life. And second, why would anyone fire this man for what his wife does for a living.

Steve Nelson is trying to defend himself by saying the story would come out anyway. Says who? Just because she didn’t go out with a paper bag over her head doesn’t mean that anyone would know who she is in that town. She’s not Jenna Jameson or someone that visible in the adult industry where it would be obvious to the outside world as to who she is. If it eventually came out, then let it come out by someone else other than someone who makes his living reporting about the adult industry.

Then there’s also the question as to who sent this information to Steve Nelson or does he live there and recognized Jazella. This man’s political career is over and their marriage might not survive this political scandal.

Janke isn’t the mayor or governor. So why would anyone in that town care about who he marries. He’s only the town manager. Do you know who your town manager is? Do you care??

There was an emergency council meeting Tuesday night and Janke was fired by a 5-0 vote. Everyone including the mayor says he did a great job. But they’ve fired him claiming he was a “distraction”. Neither Jazella or her husband William have committed a crime. But because certain people wanted to stick their noses in a private matter and play judge & jury has now caused this man to lose his 20+ year public career.

William Scott Janke tells the Cape Coral Daily Breeze that he and his wife are talking and will try to figure things out. He says at this point, he doesn’t have any idea of what to do next.

Janke tells the Orlando Sentinel “Our heads are held high, we have nothing to be embarrassed about, and we’ve done nothing wrong.”

Janke said it is too early to think about what’s next. He says “A termination on a resume does not look good, no matter what the reason.”

They were married nine months ago and are raising their three teenage children. He says he wouldn’t comment on any possible legal action against the town.
