Did Brianna Beach Cooperate with the Feds in the Miami Companions Case?

Detroit- The US Government’s case against Miami Companions began with porn performer Brianna Beach being busted for hooking.

Beach worked for Miami Companions, a multi-million dollar generating escort service, that sent call girls to Detroit, Boston, Chicago, Cincinnati, Dayton, Milwaukee, and Minneapolis beginning in the early 2000’s until March 2009.

In some locations, Miami Companions, owned by a husband and wife team in Miami- Greg and Laurie Carr- rented out “exotic beach houses, where clients exchanged money for sex,” according to the feds.

The Feds chose Detroit, because it was one of the most active spots for MC, to prosecute the case which ended today.

Beginning with busts in July, 2010, the Government fast tracked the case and in 10 months tidied up all the loose ends. Which must be some kind of record.

Strangely, in the end, Beach wasn’t one of those facing the music which leads you to suspect she cooperated fully with authorities.

Greg and Laurie Carr ran the Internet-based sex empire that dispatched waves of prostitutes to hotels and beachfront villas around the world. Detroit was listed as one of its busiest stops in the United States.

What made this story significant to the adult industry is that Beach’s involvement first surfaced when The Detroit News reported a bust in the Motor City:

“Inside was a porn star and part-time Miami Companions escort named Brianna Beach, the 34-year-old star of such adult films as “Best of Blackzilla 2,” “Bubble Bottoms” and “I Scored a Soccer Mom 4,” wrote The Detroit News.

“Agents with the Southeast Michigan Crimes Against Children Task Force, which includes the FBI, knew she [Beach] was in town for three days and charging $500 an hour after checking an adult Web site used by traveling escorts,” The News continued.

“Approximately every hour, task force officers spotted men entering and leaving the room. They busted two, including a man identified in an unsealed FBI search warrant as “A.Z.,” a West Bloomfield customer who had hired Miami Companions prostitutes 15 times. Or maybe it was 20 — he’d lost count.

“He told officers he put $500 cash on the dresser and had sex with Beach, whose real name is Melissa Sternberg. After the date, investigators learned Sternberg had hailed a cab to a nearby Bank of America branch and deposited $710 in the bank account of a company called MC Consulting Assoc. Investigators would soon learn the Florida company was headed by Greg Carr.”

Named in the original indictments were Carr, 43, who also uses the name Paul Cutlass, and his wife, Laurie, 39.

Michelle Matarazzo, 36, allegedly managed the office, dealt with clients and made travel arrangements for women, while Nayubet Loani Swaso, 24, herself a porn performer who worked under the name Sierra Sanchez allegedly ran an overseas call center.

Fabiola Contreras, 33, allegedly controlled bank accounts used to launder millions of dollars in profits. But you won’t find Beach’s name.
