from www.nymag.com – Dov Charney’s legal defense against the sexual harassment lawsuit brought against him by ex-employee Kimbra Lo [pictured] includes sexy photos of Lo that supposedly indicate she was complicit in the activities she’s saying were forced on her.
The Post has obtained some of the 69 photos taken at the December 9 meeting at Charney’s house, when, Lo said, Charney answered the door in a towel and forced her into sex acts.
Lo “is seen in some shots splayed on the bed with her eyes closed and head tossed back,” writes the Post, which published one image of her from this encounter grinning coyly while apparently topless. The Post also reports it has records of flirtatious e-mails and texts allegedly sent to the 42-year-old Charney by the 19-year-old Lo.
Meanwhile, a copy of the strange contract American Apparel models must sign before doing photo shoots for the brand has leaked. It stipulates that the models won’t get paid the $50 an hour (a pittance, really) for their work unless they sign it; forbids the model from suing Charney in court; and forbids models from speaking disparagingly about the company to bloggers. Three other ex-AA models are suing with Lo but haven’t spoken publicly about their accusations due to confidentiality agreements.
Making the case even stranger, late last week a tipster sent nude photos of Lo that ran in porny-looking hipster magazine Jacques around to fashion bloggers like us, Fashionista, and Racked, along with links of Lo appearing on Purple magazine’s sometimes-nudie blog. Lo was clothed in both Purple posts, but those have been mysteriously taken down since Friday. So she posed nude for this Jacques rag and had some involvement with Olivier Zahm — none of that has anything to do with her alleged harassment by Charney.
A judge in the sexual-harassment case filed against Charney earlier this month before Lo’s is still deciding whether or not to hear the case in arbitration.
