Dustin Lance Black sues over sex snaps

from www.sfgate.com – Oscar-winner Dustin Lance Black has filed a lawsuit against a celebrity Web site after pictures of the star engaging in sex acts with a former lover surfaced online.

The writer/director was embroiled in scandal earlier this year after the snaps appeared on the Internet, showing him having sex with a man, named in court papers as Jeff Delancy.

Black has now filed suit against bosses at photo agency Starzlife, alleging the organization illegally obtained the pictures and distributed them without his permission.

The papers, filed at California’s Central District court on July 23 and obtained by Queerty.com, state Black believed the shots taken only featured his “head and torso” as he had asked Delancy to delete any pictures of an explicit nature. Black also claims to have been aware of the existence of video footage from the incident.

Black is claiming invasion of privacy and copyright infringement and asking for $3 million in damages, as well as any profit the company made from the snaps.
